Please enjoy some photos from the music room today.
We had our first choir rehearsal since our win at the SCS Eisteddfod. The Year 6 students in choir were very proud of their fourth win in a row!
Year 5 students are being creative composers, making their own melodies with Chrome Music Lab. They love listening to each other's compositions and learning from each other.

Celebrating Reconciliation Week
This Week, 27 May to 3 June, St Therese will proudly acknowledge and celebrate Reconciliation Week. This is an important time for our community to learn about and recognise the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This year’s theme, "All In" is a unifying call challenging all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to daily reconciliation. It emphasizes that this journey requires active participation from everyone, not just First Nations people.
The theme emphasises that everyone needs to step up, listen, lead, and act to drive meaningful change.
A reminder tomorrow, Friday 29th May is 'Wear it Yellow Day".
Tomorrow all students at St Therese are encouraged to wear yellow to school. It could be just a splash of yellow with a yellow ribbon in their hair or a yellow scarf or you may like to wear all yellow to school! You can also wear an Indigenous Jersey.
Also remember to bring a gold coin donation, as our school community is raising funds and supporting Children’s Ground, a charity, helping first nations children to access education and health services.
Thankyou, St Therese Staff .

🌈 Kindergarten Silver has been learning about Noah’s Ark and God’s special promise to His people! 💛
Our little learners enjoyed colouring beautiful rainbows, writing about God’s promise to never flood the earth again, and creating altars like Noah using play dough. 🎨🕊️🌦️
Such a creative and meaningful week of learning together! ✨

Don't forget tomorrow is Walk Safely to School Day.
The annual community event aims to encourage primary school children—along with their parents and carers—to build regular walking habits into their daily routines while promoting road safety, physical fitness, and reduced car dependency.

🐋 Deep Sea Learning in 3 Silver! 🌊
We have been exploring ocean zones using the text Earth's Incredible Oceans. Students built a Word Association Web for the word LURE, connecting it to attract, trap, and draw in to expand their academic vocabulary.
We also practiced independent writing by exploring facts about the octopus. Students wrote explanations on how visual elements (like diagrams, labels, and arrows) help a reader understand complex information about deep-sea creatures.
Next up, 3 Silver is moving from the ocean to the icy south! Students are starting to research and write their own informative texts on Antarctica. ❄️
