The children enjoyed a creative messy play experience in the sandpit, exploring with leaves, sticks and paint. 🎨🍃

Using sticks to make marks and patterns, mixing colours to create new shades, and decorating leaves with their artwork, the children engaged in hands-on discovery and imaginative expression.

It was wonderful to see their creativity, collaboration, and curiosity shine throughout the experience.

📚💚 Connecting with our community, one book at a time!

We are so fortunate to partner with Willoughby City Council , who deliver a selection of library books to our service each fortnight. This wonderful initiative helps us foster a love of reading while strengthening our connection to the local community.

Our children love browsing the new arrivals and choosing books that link to their monthly learning program, interests and current learning projects. Whether we're exploring nature, animals, community helpers or the changing seasons, there's always excitement when a fresh collection of books arrives!

Thank you to Willoughby City Council and our local library team for helping inspire curiosity, imagination and a lifelong love of learning through literacy. 📖✨

One of our favourite ways to kick off the week! 🌟

Our in-service extra-curricular activities provide opportunities for children to explore new interests, build confidence and have fun while learning. We can't wait for another exciting week ahead! 😊

Some of our preschool children recently headed out on an excursion to Bunnings for a hands-on real-world learning experience 🌿🌱

During our visit, the children explored the different plants and herbs that could be added to our Bush Tucker Garden, building on their understanding of native plants, sustainability and caring for our environment. Along the way, we also practiced important road safety skills as we travelled through our community together.

Excursions like these are such a meaningful way for children to connect their learning to the real world while building confidence, independence and a sense of belonging within the community ✨

Our preschool children had so much fun exploring a hands-on science and sensory experience thoughtfully set up by one of our educators! 🧪✨

Through mixing, pouring, scooping and experimenting, our children were encouraged to explore what happens when different materials combine together. This type of play supports curiosity, problem solving and early scientific thinking while engaging all of the senses in a fun and meaningful way. 💧

We love creating opportunities for our children to learn through play, discovery and experimentation every day!

We celebrated another wonderful year of National Simultaneous Storytime by joining thousands of early childhood services, schools and libraries across Australia reading the same book at the same time! 📚✨

This year’s featured book, Luna Roo, is a beautifully illustrated story that captured the children’s imagination and sparked lots of discussion and excitement throughout the day.

National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual event run by the Australian Library that promotes the joy of reading and literacy, bringing communities together through a shared story. 💛

A special visit to our Bush Tucker Garden 🌿💚

Originally created alongside Noah’s Wombats back in 2021 using plants from Bush to Bowl, our garden has become such a meaningful part of our program. The children love helping to care for the space and learning about native plants, sustainability and caring for Country.

We also love welcoming Noah’s Wombats back for regular excursions and continuing this connection with our community 🌱
