Today we celebrated Book Week with our wonderful Book Parade! 🎉📖

Our school was bursting with colour, creativity and incredible characters as students and staff brought this year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories,” to life! 🎶📚 From much-loved classics to new favourites, it was fantastic to see the joy of reading celebrated across SFX. 🌟

There were smiles all round as our community came together for such a fun and memorable morning! 💙💛

💙🙏 Today we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

The Assumption is a special celebration in the Catholic Church, honouring our belief that at the end of her earthly life, Mary was taken body and soul into Heaven. It reminds us of Mary’s unwavering faith and trust in God and the hope we share in eternal life. 🌹✨

Yesterday, our SFX community came together to celebrate this special feast with a beautiful prayer service led by our Year 3 students. Through prayer and reflection, we honoured Mary and the wonderful example of faith, love and devotion she continues to be for us all. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to Mr Foster, Miss Spiropoulos and Mr Criniti for organising such a meaningful and beautiful celebration for our community.

✨ The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary ✨

What a beautiful way to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption! 💙☁️

Our “Sky of Prayer” display brought our community together through prayers written on clouds, creating a stunning visual representation of our prayers rising to Heaven with Mary. 🙏🏼

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed their prayers and helped bring this beautiful display to life. A very special thank you to Miss Cindy for her creativity, dedication and the countless hours she put into making this wonderful board possible. 💙

It is a beautiful reminder that our prayers are always heard, and that Mary continually leads us closer to her Son, Jesus.

This week, our Year 1 Family and Faith Afternoon was filled with joy, faith and exciting hands-on activities as we explored our theme: “Jesus is our Superhero!”

We learned that Jesus loves us, knows us personally, and came to save us, our true Superhero who is always with us. We also discovered how Mary always leads us closer to Jesus, gently guiding us to her Son Sydney Catholic Schools

Yesterday, our Kindergarten and Year 6 students led our school community in a beautiful Prayer Service to celebrate the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. 🙏💙

Today, we take time to reflect on the life and legacy of Australia’s first saint, whose unwavering faith, compassion and commitment to serving others continue to inspire us all.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr Criniti, Mrs Vella and Miss Nehme for their dedication and organisation in creating such a meaningful and prayerful celebration for our school community.
