He did it!!! đ
A huge thank you to Jonathan Frogley for his incredible support of people who stutter.
Through sheer grit, determination, and months of hard work, Jonathan set himself the challenge of running 100 kms to raise awareness of stuttering and funds to support treatment and research.
Not only did he complete the challenge (with ease), but he also inspired thousands of people along the way!
Jonathan's willingness to share his story, push through discomfort, and give back to a community he cares deeply about has been truly inspiring.
From all of us at the ASRC, thank you, Jonathan. Your impact will be felt by many people who stutter and their families for years to come.

đââď¸ 100km for stuttering awareness. One incredible story. One powerful cause.
On Friday 29 May, Jonathan Frogley will take on an extraordinary 100-kilometre ultra-marathon â âStride for Stutteringâ â to raise funds for stuttering research and treatment at the Australian Stuttering Research Centre at UTS.
As someone who has lived with stuttering since childhood, Jonathan knows firsthand the challenges it can bring â and heâs turning that experience into action to help others.
His inspiring story is a powerful reminder of why awareness, early intervention, research, and access to treatment matter. Every step he takes will help support life-changing research and treatment for people who stutter.

Some adults who stutter also experience anxietyâand it can shape how they communicate every day.
You might find yourself:
⢠Avoiding eye contact
⢠Swapping out words
⢠Rehearsing sentences in your head
⢠Saying less than you want to
⢠Or avoiding situations altogether
These are known as safety behavioursâand we want to understand them better.
At the Australian Stuttering Research Centre, weâve created a new tool: the Safety Behaviours Checklist.
Now weâre inviting adults who stutter to take part in a research study to help us validate it.
You can take part if you:
âď¸ Are 18 years or older
âď¸ Began stuttering before age 12
âď¸ Can read and write in English
Your responses will directly contribute to improving support and treatment for people who stutter worldwide.
If this sounds like youâweâd really value your input.

What if we truly understood the experience of children who stutter? Help us find out!
Does your child (aged 7â12) stutter? Or maybe youâre a speech pathologist working with school-age children who stutter?
Weâd love to invite you to be part of an exciting new research project at the Australian Stuttering Research Centre.
Some children who stutter experience unhelpful thoughts about their speech, which can lead to speech-related anxiety. Weâre developing a simple new tool to identify these thoughts earlyâso the right support can be put in place during the school years.
đ§ Who can take part?
Children who stutter aged 7 to 12 years.
đť Whatâs involved?
A short online survey, completed from home, at your childâs own pace.
By taking part, youâll help us create a quick, meaningful way to understand and support the experiences of children who stutter.
