Kumon Forestville Education Centre operates on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:20 to 6:20, with time slot of 30 minutes for each student.

That’s because at Kumon, we create a programme that is especially suited to YOUR needs and abilities. Unlike at school, where everyone in your class is studying exactly the same thing at exactly at the same time, Kumon lets you go at your own pace so that you learn comfortably and confidently every step of the way.

Kumon recognises mathematics and English as the building blocks for later learning. Once mathematics and English are mastered, students can apply their knowledge and abilities towards learning other subjects.

This is why we keep our worksheet curricula lean and to-the-point, to ensure our students can keep their focus on mastering mathematics and English.

Kumon Mathematics and English is convenient, flexible and adaptable to your family’s routine. Students can study their worksheets every day on their own for a short amount of time each day. They also have the option to study worksheets in the Kumon centre.

The Kumon Programmes and their benefits
The Kumon Programmes aim to develop:

Maths

The Kumon Maths programme develops quick, precise calculation skills necessary for the study of high school mathematics. Only topics essential for high school mathematics are included. They include number recognition, counting and writing; the four basic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; fractions and decimals; algebra, equations, functions and calculus.

Each worksheet builds on what has come before and prepares students for what comes next. Students progress step by step, towards the goal of advanced high school mathematics.

English

The Kumon English worksheets develop a high level of reading comprehension ability. To inspire students to read widely, the worksheets contain more extracts from published texts than any other reading programme in the world.

They are arranged in order of increasing difficulty, from the simplest to the most complex.

Audio files support the student’s progress, as do Kumon’s recommended reading lists.
