As part of our “First Contacts” History unit, Year 4 visited the World Heritage-listed Hyde Park Barracks! Using historical sources, students explored convict life and transportation in early Sydney. The trip also included a visit to St Mary’s Cathedral, tying into our Religious Education unit “Prayer, Liturgy and Sacraments.” A wonderful hands-on excursion connecting our students with Australia’s early history and our faith! ✨🙏🏼

During Term 2, our Year 4 students were learning about The Sacraments of Healing. To deepen their knowledge about The Sacrament of The Anointing of the Sick, the students were blessed with a visit from our new parish priest, Father Dominic, who explained the significance and purpose of the three holy oils: the Oil of the Sick, the Oil of Catechumens and the Holy Chrism Oil. Students were very engaged and had the opportunity to ask Father questions about what they’ve been learning in Religious Education.
