As part of our “First Contacts” History unit, Year 4 visited the World Heritage-listed Hyde Park Barracks! Using historical sources, students explored convict life and transportation in early Sydney. The trip also included a visit to St Mary’s Cathedral, tying into our Religious Education unit “Prayer, Liturgy and Sacraments.” A wonderful hands-on excursion connecting our students with Australia’s early history and our faith! ✨🙏🏼

What has been coming into view is now revealed. ✨

As a part of the Sydney Catholic Schools community, we are all united by a shared mission to provide Catholic education deeply anchored in faith, marked by educational excellence and accessible to all who seek it.

Inspired by the beauty and symmetry of the rose window of St Mary’s Cathedral, the new Sydney Catholic Schools logo shifts the focus from Sydney’s iconic landmarks to the spiritual heart of the Archdiocese which connects us.

It lives in our students, our staff and our families across Greater Sydney and is reflected in the way we learn and walk together.

With Christ at the centre of all that we do, this renewed expression reflects who we are as a community of communities, based in our traditions but looking boldly to the future.

During Term 2, our Year 4 students were learning about The Sacraments of Healing. To deepen their knowledge about The Sacrament of The Anointing of the Sick, the students were blessed with a visit from our new parish priest, Father Dominic, who explained the significance and purpose of the three holy oils: the Oil of the Sick, the Oil of Catechumens and the Holy Chrism Oil. Students were very engaged and had the opportunity to ask Father questions about what they’ve been learning in Religious Education.

Our incredible K–2 Jazz Ensemble had an unforgettable experience performing at the 2026 Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod Showcase! ✨

As the youngest performers on the night, our talented students took to the stage with confidence, energy and huge smiles, embracing the opportunity to perform in a professional production.

Before the show, the girls also enjoyed a special backstage interview with Jay Laga’aia, who shared his experiences in the performing arts industry and gave them a fascinating insight into the world of show business.

What an incredible opportunity and an unforgettable experience for these young performers. We are so proud of each and every one of them !
