The hunt for the next breakout star of the turf is officially on! 🏇🏆
The dates for the 2026/27 Racing NSW Rising Star Series are locked in. The 16-heat championship trail kicks off at Gosford on October 22, traversing key racing hubs across the state before culminating in the grand finale at Hawkesbury on March 16.
This prestigious series remains the ultimate launchpad for NSW's premier apprentice jockeys.

Basically - you’re part of the team behind the scenes helping keep a racing stable running every day.

You don’t need to have grown up in racing, know all the lingo or already have stable experience.

If you love horses, like being outdoors, don’t mind getting your hands dirty and want a job that’s definitely not 9–5 behind a desk… this could be your way in.

Our Stablehand Job Ready Program helps you learn the practical skills, meet racing employers and move into work placement with the potential to step straight into employment.

Our Academy is presenting a range of educational and career pathways to school students from across the Central West at the Facts About Careers & Tertiary Studies (FACTS) Day, being held today from 9.30am at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst.
