POLYSTYRENE DROP OFF COLLECTION DAY this Sunday 17th May 2026 at the HUB Kimbriki 8am - 4pm.
Northern Beaches Council are encouraging their residents to bring any rigid pieces of 100% clean, white and dry expanded polystyrene (EPS) used for packaging of appliances and electronics for free. Domestic quantities only (max. equivalent to volume of your green vegetation bin 240L).
The polystyrene must not be contaminated with dirt, soil, tape, concrete, food, labels, plastic cardboard, ink printing and no bean bag beads to ensure the product can be recycled ♻️💚

Kimbriki Eco House and Garden have 2 Eco Workshops during International Compost Week to help raise public awareness and to improve the importance of compost, a valuable organic resource and to promote compost use, knowledge and products.

We can compost to help scrap carbon pollution by avoiding landfilling organic materials and helping to build healthier soils.

✅Collect all foil & scrunch into a tight ball the size of a tennis ball.
✅Place the ball into your yellow-lidded recycling bin.

Small, flat pieces get lost in sorting, but a large ball is easily recycled 💚♻️
