Year 6 had an incredible time on their Canberra excursion! From exploring Parliament House to diving into Australia’s history of Democracy, our students impressed everyone with their knowledge, curiosity, and enthusiasm. It was a wonderful few days of learning, bonding, and making memories together. A huge thank you to our amazing teachers — Mrs Corso, Mrs Cipriani and Mrs Ventura — and to our wonderful Principal, Mrs Cutrupi, for supporting our students throughout the trip.

Our Stage 3 students had a fantastic time participating in the Dragon Tag Interschool Sport Day! With great energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship on display, they showed off their skills and had loads of fun on the field.
A big thank you to our parent helpers and spectators who came along to cheer us on - your support made the day extra special!

Kindergarten had a wonderful time visiting the Pamela Allen exhibition at the State Library last week. Students explored original illustrations, story drafts, and the creative process behind some of their favourite picture books. A highlight of the day was learning a lively song based on Who Sank the Boat? and then performing it together in a green‑screen boat, bringing the story to life in the most imaginative way. The experience sparked rich conversations about storytelling, creativity, and how authors and illustrators craft the books we love.

Our Year 3 students had a fantastic day at Gannons Park participating in the Sydney Catholic Schools Interschool Sport. They played with great spirit against other schools, showed teamwork, and represented our community with pride. It was a wonderful opportunity to build skills, make memories, and enjoy a fun day outdoors.

THANK YOU to our Colour Captains and Media Team for leading the school in a fabulous session this morning of “Fitness on the field”.

The Pope Francis Award students gathered on Monday afternoon, ready to dive into some inspiring insights about the late Pope Francis and the values he championed. Together, we explored the first module of our learning program, shared ideas, asked thoughtful questions, and uncovered new facts about both Pope Francis and St Francis of Assisi. It was a truly meaningful afternoon—one filled with reflection, connection, and a deeper understanding of why each student chose to embark on this journey of service and compassion. We’re looking forward to continuing our learning in Week 10.

The Media Team and Colour captains are looking forward to seeing the students for fitness on the field tomorrow morning.

On Friday 29th May, we were blessed to share a beautiful day at Elouera Surf Club. Together, we spent time in prayer, reflection and fellowship and explored the rich history of the Rosary, the miracles that continue to inspire faith, and the profound impact this devotion has on our lives and the lives of others. Thank you to the wonderful parents and carers who joined me in representing OLOL.
