You know when you set a goal, and three weeks in you've gone sideways, dropped the habit, missed the thing, and you start in on yourself about it?
Here's what I teach my coaches about that.
A plane flying to its destination is technically off course for more than 90% of the journey. It's not one clean line. It's up, down, around the weather, constantly adjusting. And the autopilot never berates the plane for drifting. Your GPS doesn't either. It never says you should have turned left back there. It just recalculates from where you actually are.
So the drifting was never the problem.
Your mind is like that with your goals too. When you haven't consciously chosen your destination, how do you know if it's safe to land? You might have all kinds of protective handbrakes that are stopping you from getting to the destination you really want. Will they still like me? Is it safe? And you end up circling.
Circling the thing you said you wanted, and never actually landing.
That's why the blueprint comes first. Get your conscious and your unconscious pointed at the same destination, and the correcting takes care of itself.
Conscious design, not default.
So which one is it for you right now, drifting or circling? Tell me below.
