So proud to share this! ❤️

I took my students to compete in this year’s in-person Australian Dunhuang Cup Chinese Instrument Competition, and they achieved such beautiful results:

Solo Category – 4 Gold 🏅 and 4 Silver 🥈
Guzheng Ensemble 1 Gold 🥇 and 1 Silver 🥈

A special mention to our two ensemble groups, “Sakura Falls” and “Jinguancheng Luogu.” We had only one month from our very first rehearsal to stepping onto the stage. With such a tight timeline, being able to perform so steadily and confidently really shows how much heart and hard work you put into this 💪

At the end of the day, competition is just the outcome — the real strength comes from the effort behind it.

You all truly deserve to celebrate 🥳Well done everyone, I’m so proud of you!👍

The custom-made Modie I ordered for my student has finally arrived! Time to unbox, set up the bridges, and tune it up.

Paired with Haitang’s exclusive custom copper strings, the instrument has amazing resilience, perfect for advanced techniques and high-level repertoire.

The appearance is absolutely stunning. The shimmering butterfly inlay is as beautifully crafted as ever! My student can’t wait to take her new guzheng home. ✨🎶

So proud of our guzheng student Tiffany! 🌸 She’s the second student (after Hannah!) to collect all her stickers and redeem a beautiful Pandora shell bracelet✨

The sticker system is something I came up with — students earn stickers each week based on their practice and homework, and once they fill the whole sheet, they get a prize! 🎁

Tiffany has been working so hard 💪 I hope this little system keeps inspiring all the kids to keep practicing and enjoying their music! 🎶

Let’s see who will be the next one to complete their sticker sheet! 👀

💖What an incredible experience today being part of the Australian Channel 9 Today Show Live! My students and I had the honor of performing the guzheng to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Snake Celebration Day concert on February 1st. This was our first TV interview, and it went wonderfully! 👏🥳Huge thanks to Willoughby City Council for this amazing opportunity and to everyone who supported us. It was truly a memorable performance!🎉 Well done everyone!
