Emerging Leader in Mental Health Award 2026
It is an honour to announce that the founder of the Education and Research page, Dr Md Nazmul Huda, (Bakhtiar Nazmul Huda), has been awarded the prestigious Emerging Leader in Mental Health Award 2026 by the Public Health Association of Australia ( ). The award was presented on 24 March 2026 at the Preventive Mental Health Conference 2026, held at the Novotel Parramatta, Sydney.
This recognition is a testament to Dr Huda’s significant contributions to mental health research and service delivery within Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (ICAMHS) at South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD), NSW Health, as well as his national and international research collaborations with UNSW Medicine & Health, UNSW School of Clinical Medicine, Western Sydney University, Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research, the ARCED Foundation, and beyond.
The award also acknowledges Dr Huda’s sustained and dedicated contributions to the PHAA Mental Health Special Interest Group (MHSIG) and the broader PHAA community over the past four years.
Dr Huda is deeply grateful for this recognition and for the continued support of his colleagues, collaborators, mentors, and students.
