๐๐ World Environment Week ๐๐
This week at Kids on Crown, we have been celebrating World Environment Week by encouraging our children to explore, appreciate and care for the world around them.
Through hands-on experiences, outdoor play, gardening and discussions about sustainability, the children have been learning about the importance of protecting our environment and how even small actions can make a big difference.
By fostering a love and respect for nature from an early age, we are helping to create future generations who understand the value of caring for our planet. We are so proud of the curiosity, enthusiasm and environmental awareness our children have shown throughout the week! ๐ฑ๐

๐ All About Colours in the Tiny Treasures Room! ๐
Our littlest learners have been exploring the wonderful world of colours through hands-on play, discovery and creativity.
Learning about colours helps children make sense of the world around them and supports early learning foundations. We love watching our Tiny Treasures grow in confidence as they discover new colours!

This week at Kids on Crown, we proudly recognised National Reconciliation Week, a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to reflect on how we can contribute to reconciliation in our everyday lives.
Throughout the week, the children engaged in a variety of meaningful experiences that introduced them to and celebrated the rich cultures and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Through age appropriate stories, discussions, art experiences, music and creative play, the children explored themes of respect, inclusion, belonging and connection to Country.
These experiences provided opportunities for the children to develop an understanding of Australiaโs First Nations cultures while fostering empathy, curiosity and appreciation for diversity. By embedding these learnings into our program, we aim to help children build a strong foundation of respect and understanding from an early age.
At Kids on Crown, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and where cultural learning is celebrated. National Reconciliation Week reminds us that reconciliation is an ongoing journey and even the smallest actions can help create a more united and respectful future for all.

As part of our National Simultaneous Storytime, the children enjoyed listening to this yearโs chosen book, Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller, during group time. ๐ฆ๐
Inspired by the storyโs theme, the children then took part in a fun ball-rolling painting experience. This creative activity supported their hand-eye coordination, balance, and hand strength as they carefully moved and balanced the balls in trays to create their own unique masterpieces. ๐จโจ
