The Freeman community is incredibly proud to watch the team's success. A special shoutout to ex-student Paul Okon-Engstler, who played a great game and picked up a massive assist for the opening goal.

On Wednesday, we took a number of students from Years 9 and 10 to St Mary's Cathedral and the Sistine Chapel Exhibition. We went on a tour of the Cathedral, admiring artwork including the stained glass windows, and viewing relics. We were also afforded the opportunity to go down to the Crypt where the students visited the tombs of Sydney's Archbishops, including our beloved Cardinal Freeman.

After lunch in Hyde Park, we visited the Sistine Chapel Exhibition. It was an amazing experience that walked the students through the brilliance of Michelangelo's artwork.

Our Year 12 Food Technology students were challenged to develop a new flavored ice cream targeted at young children, while still meeting the premium standards of a gourmet supermarket ice cream range. The class came up with some incredibly creative and sophisticated flavours such as caramel popcorn, fairy bread, caramel slice and pine and mango where every component for their ice cream had to be made from scratch. To evaluate the success of their product development, students brought in their homemade creations for a live tasting session. Both staff and peers were invited to taste test the batches, acting as consumer focus groups to provide critical feedback on texture, flavour balance, and mouthfeel. The session was designed to provide the students with a real world product testing example and how to meet the wants and needs of consumers instead of their own personal preferences. Well done Year 12!. 🍨🙌⭐

Sistine Chapel – Two Day Immersive Project
We are incredibly proud of Elizabeth Poh of Year 11 and Keira Nguyen of Year 10 for being selected to attend the exclusive "Origins to Destiny" two-day intensive art workshop this week.
Alongside other gifted and talented students from Sydney Catholic Schools, Elizabeth and Keira embarked on a creative pilgrimage at St Mary’s Cathedral. They immersed themselves in sacred art, visited the incredible new Sistine Chapel exhibition "Revelations", and participated in hands-on workshops exploring drawing, painting, and sculpture.
A major highlight was collaborating with professional mural artist Danny Mulyono, who mentored them in airbrushing and spray-painting techniques!
This amazing workshop served as the ultimate inspiration as they begin developing their own masterworks for the upcoming Clancy Prize Religious Art Exhibition.
We are so proud of their talent and dedication, and we can’t wait to see how their artworks turn out!
