At Young Voyager ELC, Learning is Fun!

Our little explorers had so much fun rolling toy cars dipped in paint down ramps. As the cars rolled across cardboard, they created colourful strokes ! Through this fun activity, children discovered how speed and direction can change the patterns, learning through play at its best.

Happy Earth Day from Young Voyagers ELC!

At Young Voyagers, we believe in nurturing little hearts and minds to care for the world around them. Our young learners celebrated Earth Day through a hands-on painting experience, creating their own globes using blue and green to represent our beautiful planet.
As they painted, the children engaged in conversations about nature, trees, and how we can take care of the Earth. This activity sparked creativity, built fine motor skills, and encouraged early environmental awareness in a fun and engaging way.

🌏 Celebrating Diversity and Respect 🌏
At Young Voyagers ELC, we are committed to fostering a deep respect for Aboriginal culture and history. This week, our children explored the beauty of Aboriginal art by tracing traditional symbols with corn and learning their meanings.
Through this hands-on activity, they gained an insight into the rich storytelling traditions of Aboriginal Australia, fostering an appreciation for diversity and cultural heritage.

At Young Voyagers Early Learning Centre, we provide opportunities for children to connect with nature and enhance their understanding of natural elements. Our little explorers enjoyed creative painting using brushes made from leaves, flowers, twigs, and grass. At Young Voyagers ELC, children are encouraged to connect with nature and resource their learning through hands-on experiences. They engaged in an Extracting Colours activity, exploring natural materials like turmeric, charcoal, onion skins, bell peppers, flowers, and carrots to create eco-friendly colours. The children touched, smelled, and observed as these materials transformed water into vibrant, natural colours . They used paper and paintbrushes to create stunning artwork, observed at how nature provides such beautiful and sustainable resources.
