An "Us vs Them" mentality never works in generating genuine dialogue or effective negotiation.

When we want others to understand us we first need to try to understand them.

This requires courage. Courage to put our walls down and our ego aside. It requires us to be compassionate and and to treat the other person as a human being with their own interests and needs.

"Getting motivated" is not as difficult as "staying motivated". Sometimes we get really enthusiastic about a project or task we want to complete or goal we want to achieve. We start taking massive action only to lose focus, momentum and motivation along the way.

Here are 5 ways that can help you stay on track and motivated. Ofcourse there are many more ways beyond just the 5 mentioned here.

I have read quite a few books in my life. These are just some of the ones that have influenced and made the most impact on me.

Some have inspired me, others have shifted my thinking on life and human behaviour and potential. Many have helped me personally to grow and develop.

Being "busy" or "productive" 24/7 is seen as a badge of honour these days. We are obsessed with always needing to do something or fill our time with "meaningful" work.

The problem is though... we leave little space for pause and feel guilty if we do take a break and "do nothing". But taking a mental beak or pause is necessary for our brains and bodies to recharge.

We cannot do good work, support others effectively or maintain our productivity if we're constantly running our brains and bodies ragged.

Life is a marathon not a sprint. Pace yourself. Be kind to yourself and remember to stop, revive and survive.

According to Robert Kegan's orders of consciousness/levels of development, most adults tend to gravitate around levels 3 to 4. Obviously we all know someone who may sit on level 2 😜
