Reconciliation Week 🖤💛❤️

This week, the children explored an Aboriginal symbol sensory tray as they practiced their mark making skills in the sand. We learned about different Aboriginal symbols and their meanings before the children created their own patterns and lines through hands-on sensory play.

A meaningful experience that supported creativity, fine motor skills, and respect for Aboriginal culture and storytelling. ✨

Our babies are supported to feel safe, calm, and secure as they settle into our centre. Through gentle routines, familiar songs, and caring educator interactions, we help build trust and comfort.

Today, the children explored natural sensory materials like leaves, petals, and pinecones, while also enjoying quiet group time with music and movement. These consistent, nurturing experiences help them develop a sense of belonging, confidence, and connection with their educators and peers.

🌟 Do you know our centre also offers a government-approved preschool program? 🌟

Through our play-based learning approach, children are supported to build strong foundations for school readiness, including early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and independence.

One of the engaging experiences included in our program is Salt Tray Letter A & B. Children explore letters by using their fingers to trace and form A and B in trays filled with salt. The educator models correct letter formation, and children are then encouraged to copy and practise at their own pace.

This sensory-rich experience helps children to:
✨ Recognise and name letter shapes
✨ Begin connecting letters with sounds
✨ Strengthen fine motor skills for writing
✨ Build confidence and focus through hands-on learning

Learning through play makes early education meaningful, enjoyable, and meaningful as children develop essential skills for their transition to school.
