β½ππββοΈ What a fantastic day at St Charles! Today, our students enjoyed taking part in our annual School Walkathon, which this year featured a fun Soccer World Cup theme!
Students embraced the spirit of the day, completing their laps with enthusiasm and enjoying time together with their friends. One of the highlights was watching a World Cup soccer match, which added to the excitement and atmosphere of the event.
A huge thank you to our wonderful P&F and parent volunteers for organising such an enjoyable day for our students. Your time, effort and dedication helped make the event a great success.
We would also like to thank our parent community for their generous fundraising support. Funds raised through the Walkathon will contribute towards the development of our new school playground, creating even more opportunities for our students to learn, play and grow.
Well done to all of our students for their enthusiasm, participation and support of this special community event! π«

ππΌπ Bee Day Buzz at St Charles! Our Year 2 students had a wonderful Friday as they took part in Bee Day, celebrating all they have been learning about bees, pollination and sustainability throughout Term 2.
Students enjoyed an engaging presentation from Abbie at Superpollinators, where they discovered the important role bees play in our environment and how they help our ecosystems thrive. They also made delicious honey joys, which they enjoyed while watching The Magic School Bus venture inside a beehive.
The fun continued with outdoor bee-themed games, Bee Word Bingo, and even the chance for some students to write and perform their own creative Bee Raps!
It was a fantastic day of hands-on learning, allowing our students to put their Term 2 knowledge into action through engaging, memorable and fun-filled activities. Well done, Year 2! π«

β¨ποΈπΒ Yesterday, our Year 6 students from St Charles and Our Lady Queen of Peace came together for a meaningful and faith-filled Confirmation Preparation Day as they continue their journey towards receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.
The day began with Mass and the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, allowing students time for prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
Students were privileged to hear from Father Steve, who shared personal stories of witnessing the Holy Spirit at work in his own life. Mr Cohen also spoke with the students about the special gifts of the Holy Spirit and how these can guide them in their everyday lives.
Throughout the day, students participated in a range of engaging, hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding of the sacrament and prepare them for this important milestone in their faith journey.
A heartfelt thank you to our Religious Education Coordinators, Mr Rath and Ms Bregolin, along with our dedicated Year 6 teachers, for their guidance and commitment in preparing our students for this special occasion. We keep all of our Confirmation candidates in our prayers as they look forward to celebrating this sacred sacrament. π«

The students demonstrated great sportsmanship, teamwork and determination throughout the day, while enjoying the opportunity to compete against other schools. It was wonderful to see our students join together with their buddies from Our Lady Queen of Peace, forming a combined team and creating new memories along the way.
We are incredibly proud of the way they represented both schools and embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
