NAIDOC week begins today, and the theme for 2021 is 'Heal Country' - captured beautifully in this artwork 'Care for Country' by 21 year old Gubbi-Gubbi artist Maggie-Jean Douglas.

The 21 year old artist explains that her artwork is about how country has cared for and healed First Nations people in all senses of the meaning for so long.

Wingaru Education have a fantastic 'Heal country: Recognising Aboriginal Knowledge' category complete with curriculum-aligned lesson plans. We highly recommend you check them out!
