🌋🔥 Volcanoes Are Waking Up Around the World! 🔥🌋

Several volcanoes around the world have erupted recently, reminding us just how active and powerful our planet can be. Here's a quick update on the most significant events:

🔴 Krasheninnikov Volcano – Kamchatka, Russia
Erupted on August 3 for the first time in over 600 years.

Ash reached 6 km (4 miles) into the sky
Lava flowed down its slopes for the first time since the 1500s
Scientists believe it may have been triggered by a magnitude 8.8 earthquake just days earlier

Remote area, but aviation alerts were issued due to the ash plume.

🌋 Kīlauea Volcano – Hawaii, USA
On August 6, Kīlauea erupted again — its 30th eruption since late 2024.

Lava fountains reached up to 300 feet from the Halemaʻumaʻu crater
No major damage, but an orange-level aviation alert remains in place Kīlauea continues to be one of the most active volcanoes on Earth.

🌫️ Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki – Indonesia
Recent eruptions on August 1–2 produced massive ash plumes.

Ash reached 18 km (11 miles) into the atmosphere
Thousands have been relocated due to earlier activity in the region
Authorities remain on alert for possible lava flows and further eruptions
This is one of Indonesia's most active volcanoes right now.

🧠 Did You Know?

“Lava” is molten rock after it erupts.
“Magma” is the hot goo before it escapes the Earth’s crust.
Volcanic ash isn’t soft, it’s tiny sharp rock pieces that can ground planes and damage lungs

Whether you're a science enthusiast or just keeping an eye on world events, it’s worth following these developments, especially in regions near active zones.
