Let's face the facts!

I see this as an opportunity to rethink our recycling practices, rather than look for another foreign country to dump our waste in.

Recycling plants in Australia are incapable of digesting the amount of waste that we are producing - due to poor quality and low quantity of plants. Swipe on as we brainstorm different solutions for consumers, companies and for our government to consider.

If you're stuck on resources to match your curriculum outcomes, send us a text and we are happy to donate our time to help! Our resources are endorsed by experts!

Here's a fun game to share with your students. It gives an eagle-eye view (geography!) of a usual Australian home, and walks the students through rubbish sorting. Clever!

Herman Huisman is the ultimate guru when it comes to circular economy and waste management. Herman completed his studies as an environmental biologist and went on to work for the government and become a successful changemaker. Huisman has shared his boundless expertise and set up projects all over the world including in Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Jordan, Macedonia, Morocco, Myanmar, Poland, Romania, Tanzania, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, South Africa, Uganda, Ukraine, USA and UAE.

And now we are incredibly lucky that Herman is making his way to our Aussie classrooms, virtually, to inspire our young minds to choose to be climate innovators, just like him!

I’m convinced that travel opens our minds and teaches us empathy like no other experience can. This may be enough to balance aviation emissions that disrupt our carbon cycle, however there is more you can do! Stay tuned for some tips throughout the week.

You know that feeling you get after a spring clean or after donating tons of stuff? I get that feeling every time I look at this! I love that I need so little to feel so great.

All of my bathroom items are either compostable, reusable, recyclable or I keep them in my waste jars for life.

Friday drinks are around the corner and you haven’t had any time for self-care. This homemade dry shampoo is my quick fix to lift my hair for an extra day. It's perfect when you’re in a rush to leave!

Brunette 👩🏽? Just add 2 tablespoons of cornflour (it absorbs oil and moisture like a charm) to 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (for colour and to smell deliciously edible!)

Blonde or Redhead 👩🏼‍👩🏻‍🦰 ? One simple ingredient and you're good to go: cornflour! If you like, you could add a couple of drops of your favourite essential oil for a subtle scent.

Mix it in a powder shaker or apply it with a makeup brush - the choice is yours.
