I feel like I have the need to share those two principles as a mum.
I saw too many parents/ caregivers correct / disrupt the baby/kids when they do things differently to their expectations. As an adult we have a fairly rigid mind compared to kids, and it hurts me to see by correcting them to follow what our small minds says to be “right”, we are training them to give up their precious self; things that are beautiful outside of the adults’ logical mind. Not only we undermine their confidence, the process is also telling them not to follow their intuitions & feelings, 2 most important skills that can keep them safe in life. Another thing a lot of caregivers like to do is to guilt trip or force the kids to give or receive affection ( bodily or verbally). We all know how bad it feels when we were taken advantage of and can’t say no to things, respect “no” from the kids. Teaching them they have the consent to their body, and form boundaries that will shield them from harmful behaviours is the gift we could give to our previous ones!

Today I’m 😊 I am a curious baby and I like to explore my environment. I have mastered my crawling skills and now on to supported walking 💪😊👌😘

Today my little sunshine ☀️ You just mastered a new skill of supporting yourself to stand up with whatever suitable. I’m so impressed by the speed of your growth. I’m often fascinated by how clever you are although you are just a baby! Happy 7 months my boy ❤️ Can’t express my love enough 💋
