🌡️ Febrile convulsions: here are the facts!
👉🏼 There is NOTHING you can do to prevent them
👉🏼 If your child has one, there no evidence to suggest they will occur every time your child has a fever
👉🏼 They rarely cause brain damage
👉🏼 They occur in children because their brains are extremely sensitive to rapid changes in body temperature
Please remember, do not put anything inside someone’s mouth during a seizure.

Babies and children are bound to fall and hit their head when learning to roll, crawl and walk - even more so as they get older and more adventurous with their play.
Most head injuries and falls are mild. However if your child falls from a height (more than twice their own height) please follow these rules :
🛑 DO NOT move them - unless in a position of danger ie on the road
🛑 DO NOT give anything to eat or drink - until they have been cleared by a medical professional
🛑 DO NOT attempt to realign any injuries or limbs
🛑 DO NOT shake or attempt to vigorously wake up a child who may be drowsy or unconscious

This is a bit different to the content we usually post, but motherhood has been bringing up a lot of conflicting emotions recently and trying to juggle our business, our other job as well as looking after our families and households. This is your reminder - if you can relate to any of these words , you are not alone and being a parent has a lot of complex feelings and parts.
