Today we acknowledged National Sorry Day. The day began with students, teachers, and community members creating artworks to represent this year’s Reconciliation Week theme, “All In.”
An assembly was then hosted by our SRC members and House Captains. This involved educating everyone about the significance of National Sorry Day and the importance of Reconciliation Week, while emphasising our commitment to a fairer and more inclusive future.
We also enjoyed a wonderful performance from our Melody Choir, who sang Beds Are Burning by Midnight Oil, with the whole school joining in for the chorus.
The day concluded with Story Time during Break 2, where students could choose to spend their break reading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander texts and share in stories, culture, and learning together.

Today, our School Captains and Vice Captains participated in the Elevate Student Leadership Program, an inspiring leadership initiative supported by local high school student mentors.
They took part in engaging activities designed to build confidence, teamwork and leadership skills, while also connecting with peers from other local schools and learning from experienced student leaders.
Over the next six months, students will apply their learning by leading a project focused on making a positive impact within our school community.
We are so proud of the leadership shown by our students today and look forward to seeing the impact they have in our school!
