Another week, another bright and dynamic art class! 🎨✨ There is nothing quite like watching kids get completely engaged, creative, and genuinely proud of what they’re creating. We had so much fun today, and everyone walked away with masterpiece-worthy results! 🖌️❤️

You know what surprised the students the most? 😄

That these objects are actually haystacks! 🌾 They thought they were houses, anthills, or some other kind of mysterious buildings 😂

We had such great results exploring Claude Monet’s paintings and practising impressionistic techniques with loose brushstrokes, colour mixing, light and atmosphere. I’m so proud of how the kids embraced the challenge! 🎨

And now I seriously think we should paint an old-fashioned telephone with them… ☎️ just to see what they think it is! 😅

That’s what all the experiments were for 🥰

We’re going to create a box of sweets where the kids will make their own designs.

I’m thinking of adding a few strokes to the box itself or maybe even making it 3D! I’m getting ambitious with the kids’ art projects again 😆

Behind the scenes: what happens to student art after class? 🎨

Wet-on-wet watercolor paper loves to buckle, so pressing them under heavy weights overnight is essential! It turns wavy paper into crisp, beautiful artwork ready for framing.
