Congratulations to Brae Geelan (Year 9), who has officially etched his name into the record books by breaking both the NSW and Australian Under 16 Blue Marlin records with an incredible fish weighing 196kg.
After an exhausting 45-minute battle, Brae demonstrated outstanding skill, determination and composure as he successfully brought the giant marlin to the boat. Once landed and weighed, the fish exceeded the previous record of 182kg by an impressive 14kg, setting a new benchmark for junior anglers across the country.
Following the capture, the record underwent the required verification process and, after several weeks of waiting, has now been officially ratified, confirming Brae as the new NSW and Australian U16 Blue Marlin record holder.
Congratulations, Brae, on your record-breaking catch.

Today’s recognition of R U OK Day was a terrific success with just under $1000 raised for Vinnies to support Sydney families doing it tough. We recognise the importance of checking in on one another and being part of a community that supports each other in good times and bad. The Jersey Day mufti reflects that we are all part of a team and like a team we look after each other each day and every day! R U OK? Sydney Catholic Schools The Resilience Project

Huge congratulations to our very own teacher and Sports Coordinator, Mr. Nathan Smith, on his induction into the Surf Life Saving Australia Hall of Fame! 🏆🌊

This is an extraordinary, well-deserved honor that reflects years of world-class dedication, resilience, and leadership—both in the surf and right here at St Aloysius College. Having a true legend of Australian sport guiding and inspiring our students every day is a privilege, and we couldn't be prouder to celebrate this massive milestone with him.

Join us in congratulating Mr. Smith!!! 👏
