Hello to everyone.
Malo e lelei Hou'eiki moe Kainga.

Welcome to our page, as you will see we are Sydney NSW Australia based Tongan-English Translation Services available not only to Tongans and Non-Tongans in Sydney and Australia but also to Tongans and Non-Tongan worldwide.

To introduce ourselves -
Mele Lupe Kailomani-Fifta & Fatai Faingaa
we both are of Tongan descent and have spent extensive time in both Tonga & Australia.

Fatai worked as Journalist & media in Tonga for Tonga Broadcasting Commission & A3Z for many years and has vast experience and now she works for Sydney International Airport.

Mele Lupe studied in Tonga previously for a few years before returning home to Australia to study and she currently works in Department of Communities & Justice NSW. She is also a certified NSW Justice of the Peace (JP)

We recently had the opportunity & honour of joining and completing a scholarship sponsored by Multicultural NSW for Interpreting & Translating and then we went on to qualify & recieve our NAATI accreditation as Recognised Practising Interpreters for Tongan-English Language. We also recieved offers from Multicultral NSW to become interpreters on their panel, which allows us to get paid to provide our services to NSW Courts, NSW Police, Dept. of Immigration & Home affairs, Dept. of Communities & Families, Correctional Centres, Housing, NSW Health and many more departmentsšŸ™

From that our main goal for setting up this page and our service was created. Many of our Tongan nations as well as Tongans abroad often require services like Immigration and Visas, Centrelink, Police & Court Matters, Medical & Health Care consultations, Education, Job seeking & recruitment as well as many other services but are usually hesitant if english is not their first language or if they do not have close family or friends that can understand and speak both languages.

Our main aim is to interpret/translate (where possible) as well as provide support and assistance to understanding what is required when using these services and what is available to you as the client from these services.

We are bound by a strict code of conduct & ethics by our profession, so we aim to maintain confidentiality, show professionalism through boundaries and we do not aim to influence, persuade, pressure or control you or your way of thinking in situations, we are simply here to assist you to gain a better understanding and to help answer any queries or uncertainties you may have.

Our services are simple and we are friendly and efficient and we ask only a small and simple fee, nothing more and if this is an issue speak to us we can work something out we are flexible & willing to help. If you need to better understand something or need some help to find out how to do or where to go to get a service but cannot understand or need assistance with the english language please contact us.

Its as easy as this - if you have a form that you need to complete that some parts are not clear to you or you have something you have been told to do or apply for or find but cannot because your not sure we can help you and if we cannot we will provide you with the relevant information, details and resources to so. We also have a registered NSW JP on our team if that is simply what you require.

Feel free to call or message us on FB or send an email and we can talk about how we can help.

We look forward to helping you or someone you know.

Thank you,
Mele & Fatai šŸ‡¹šŸ‡“
