Our Possum Room has been learning all about seasons over the past two weeks! They have had fun exploring different textures, temperatures and smells in these sensory trays! ☀️❄️🌷🍁

Happy Halloween from our Normo family!! We have loved seeing our children get involved in a variety of activities through the week to celebrate the spooky season! 🎃👻

Our Possums have been busy making a little bird bath for our local wildlife to enjoy! We love teaching our young ones how to care for others and nature 🦜

Happy Educators Day! Today is the day we get to celebrate all our amazing educators and the role they have in shaping the lives of the beautiful children we have in our care. It takes a big heart to shape little minds, and our team at Normo are incredible!

This morning we hosted a little celebration for our fantastic parents and the work they do raising the beautiful children we have at our centre! We showed our appreciation with some hot drinks and snacks to enjoy on their way to start their day! ☕️

Happy Pyjama Day from our Normo family! Today we celebrated Pyjama Day, raising money for The Pyjama Foundation, helping young children in the foster care system “change the direction of their lives with learning, life skills and confidence.” We had lots of fun today all dressed up in our Pyjamas, with children, staff and even parents getting involved!

This morning we had a visit from our local dentist, teaching our Emu and Koala children all about taking care of their teeth health, learning to brush properly and hear all about what foods are healthy for our teeth! Our children loved it, and loved the goody bags even more! It is important to teach our little ones these hygiene practices, setting them up for a bright and healthy future! 🦷🪥 Thank you

May is brain cancer awareness month, something that has been extra important for our centre this year. One of our lovely staff members instigated a fundraiser for the Mark Hughes Foundation this year, raising money for brain cancer patients, one of whom is a close friend of hers. We encouraged the children to dress up in their favourite costumes and hats, and families to donate anything they could towards the foundation and it’s amazing work helping raise money to further brain cancer research in Australia. Every dollar counts in the fight against brain cancer

This week has been all about hearing at our centre! On Tuesday we had a lovely parent come in to speak to the children about cochlear implants and how these special devices help her little girl hear, acting as her “ears”. Later on in the week we had an audiometrist come in and perform hearing tests on the children. It is so important to check our little one’s hearing, so we can help them should they need it! 🦻

Lots of fun activities have filled our Koala Room program over the past week! Our children have been exploring colour and sensory textures in a variety of hands on experiences 🎨
