What a magical performance from our Year 11 Drama Ensemble as they brought The Wizard of Oz: The Deleted Scene to life on stage!

We followed Dorothy on her journey down the shortcut to the Emerald City. Our talented students captivated audiences with their creativity, energy and incredible ensemble work. 💫

The Year 12 Drama class invite you to the 2026 HSC Drama Showcase Evening on Thursday the 20th of August, 6-7:30pm in the Mackellar Performance Space.

At this evening, you will see group performances, monologues, promotional and program designs and script excerpts.

Please note that some of these performances feature adult language and themes and thus may not be appropriate for young children.

We hope to see you there to celebrate the works of the Year 12 Drama class!

Congratulations to our Open Knockout Soccer team who beat The Rivers Secondary College 2-0 to progress to the semi finals of the Statewide Knockout. The semi final will be played on Wednesday the 12 of August. If you can get there to support the girls, it would be amazing. A great team performance today. Well done Mackellar!

From concept to customer! 🍔🚚

As part of their Food Service & Catering unit, our Year 10 Food Technology students designed and prepared dishes for a pop-up food truck. With creations including bánh mì, sushi, smashed burgers and more, students demonstrated excellent planning, food preparation and presentation skills while bringing their food business ideas to life. Well done, Year 10!

Our very own P**i was named in the Open New Zealand Black Fins team to compete at Port Elizabeth, South Africa in December at the Life Saving World Championships. This is P**i’s first time being selected for the Open World’s and she is the youngest competitor to be chosen from a team of 6 males and 6 females. 🤩

What an incredible Commonwealth Games campaign from Mackellar student Gemma!

Representing Australia on the international stage, Gemma showed outstanding determination, resilience and sportsmanship across her events. Competing against the best para swimmers in the Commonwealth is an extraordinary achievement, and our entire school community is so proud of everything she has accomplished.

The Mackellar community is incredibly proud of our very own Gemma Sellick, who has been selected to represent Australia at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow! 🇦🇺🏊

At just 16, Gemma has already achieved so much, winning multiple national titles and breaking multi-class records. Now she is wearing the green and gold as one of the youngest athletes on the Australian Dolphins team, competing in:

💛 100m Breaststroke SB8

Gemma races on 26–27 July, and we know our Mackellar community will be cheering her on every stroke of the way.
