A huge THANK YOU to Little Yoga Socks for the beautiful gift of these adorable grip socks for our little learners 🧦✨

Our children in the Joeys & Kangaroo rooms were so excited to each receive their very own pair, and they absolutely loved wearing them while joining in yoga, movement experiences, and exploring their environment. 💛

Not only are they super cute, but the grip on the socks made it easier for our little ones to move confidently and safely as they stretched, balanced, climbed, danced, and played. Watching their big smiles as they showed off their new socks was such a joy!

At Total Care, we love creating opportunities for children to move their bodies, build confidence, and explore freely—and these gorgeous socks were the perfect addition to our day.

Thank you again Little Yoga Socks for your kindness and generosity. Our little yogis had the best time! 🧘‍♀️🧦🌈

Today we pause to honour and remember the brave men and women of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps 🇦🇺🇳🇿

On ANZAC Day, we reflect on their courage, sacrifice, and service 🌹 and give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy today because of them.

Lest we forget.

We’re excited to share a new step forward in our commitment to sustainability at the centre! 🌱♻️

Today we are proudly introducing our Total Care Can Club! We now have a dedicated recycling bin located at the front of our service where families and staff are invited to bring in their empty bottles and cans. These items will be collected and recycled, helping us reduce waste and care for our environment together.

Even more exciting—every contribution will make a difference! All proceeds raised from the recycling initiative will go directly back into the centre to purchase new resources for the children. This means that your small, everyday actions can help create meaningful learning experiences and enhancements within our environment.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to work in partnership with our families, while also teaching the children the importance of sustainability, responsibility, and caring for our world.

We can’t wait to see our community come together for this fantastic initiative—thank you for your ongoing support! 💚

🐰🌸 Easter Hat Parade 2026 🌸🐰

What a beautiful day we had celebrating our annual Easter Hat Parade here at the centre! 💛

We were so thrilled to have our wonderful families join us for a special Easter-themed morning tea, lovingly prepared by our amazing chefs. It was such a lovely opportunity to come together and celebrate!
Our children absolutely shone as they proudly paraded their incredible Easter hats – each one uniquely created with love and creativity by our families. We were blown away by the effort, imagination, and detail that went into every single hat! 🎩🐣

Thank you to all of our families for attending and making the day so special. Your support and involvement mean so much to us and truly enrich the experiences we create for the children.

Wishing everyone a happy, safe, and joyful Easter long weekend! 🐇🌷

Safety is always our priority! 🚒🔥

This afternoon we conducted a practice fire drill at the centre, and we are so proud of how confidently and calmly the children followed our procedures. Through regular practice, the children are becoming familiar with what to do, helping them feel safe and prepared in an emergency.

These drills are an important part of our commitment to maintaining compliance with safety regulations and ensuring the wellbeing of every child in our care.

Well done everyone! 👏

Today we celebrated Harmony Day at our centre, and what a beautiful day it was! 🧡

Our children and educators came dressed in vibrant cultural outfits and shades of orange, proudly representing the many cultures that make up our wonderful community. Throughout the day, we explored different traditions, enjoyed meaningful conversations about inclusion and belonging, and celebrated what makes each of us unique.

Harmony Day reminds us that everyone belongs, and together we create a space filled with respect, kindness, and understanding. 🌏✨

Thank you to our families for supporting this special day and helping us celebrate the rich diversity within our centre. 🧡

🌏 Together We’re Building a Sustainable Centre 🌱

At Total Care, we are proud to be a sustainable childcare centre and we believe that caring for our environment starts early — and works best when we do it together.

We invite our families to help us reduce waste by donating clean, safe, reusable items from home that we can repurpose in our learning spaces. These materials become powerful tools for creativity, problem-solving and imagination!

♻️ What Can You Bring In?

• Cardboard boxes & tubes
• Bottle lids & plastic containers
• Fabric scraps, ribbons or wool
• Paper towel rolls
• Old pots, pans or kitchen utensils (no sharp edges)

Please speak to educators if you’re unsure whether an item is suitable.

🌱 Why Sustainability Matters

By reusing everyday items, children:

• Learn to care for and respect the environment
• Develop creativity and critical thinking
• Understand that materials can have more than one purpose
• Build a sense of responsibility and belonging

These experiences help children become confident, informed and environmentally responsible learners.

What an incredible opportunity to connect on a global level 🌏✨ 🇨🇳
Today we had the pleasure of meeting with the owner and director of a 500-place early learning centre in China. It was such an inspiring conversation, sharing ideas and experiences around programs, quality practices, leadership, and the differences in regulations and early childhood frameworks across our two countries.

We loved networking, learning from one another, and seeing how, no matter where we are in the world, the heart of early childhood education remains the same — children, relationships and quality care 💛

We are especially excited to be starting a pen pal exchange between our children, creating a meaningful way for them to learn about different cultures, build connections and develop global awareness from a young age ✉️🌱

So grateful for opportunities like this that broaden our thinking, strengthen our practice and remind us that early learning truly has no borders.
