🦁💛 Child Safety with Ditto the Lion! 💛🦁
Today we were so excited to welcome Bravehearts and Ditto the Lion to Total Care Early Learning Centre for a fun, interactive and age-appropriate child safety performance! 🌟
Through songs, stories, Ditto and lots of audience participation, the children learnt some very important messages about keeping themselves safe, recognising their feelings and speaking up when something doesn’t feel right.
The children explored:
🦁 Understanding their body belongs to them
🦁 Identifying safe and unsafe feelings
🦜 Learning that it’s okay to say “NO!” when they feel uncomfortable
🦁 Knowing the importance of talking to a trusted adult if something worries them
🦁 Understanding that they should keep telling someone until they are listened to and helped
🦁 Learning that secrets that make them feel worried or uncomfortable should never be kept
🦁 Building confidence to speak up and ask for help
The children absolutely loved joining Ditto on his adventure and were engaged throughout the performance. ❤️
At Total Care, we believe that teaching children about their rights, body safety and how to seek help is an important part of creating a child-safe environment where every child feels heard, respected and empowered. 🌈
