What can we learn from insects?

Children at Little Teji will learn how to live in greater biological harmony with the planet. In this corner, children are able to successfully identify and explore insects in their environments and how to protect them. Children will also be able to expand their vocabulary by learning the names of each insect and how to describe them. Pinning insects is great for developing younger children's fine motor skills.

Why is a calm corner Important?

Calm corners help children to practice identifying their feelings and emotions to better manage stress, self-regulate and control their impulses. This allows the child somewhere to retreat and unwind when they need a break from the excitement.

Brand new 10 place childcare centre for children aged 3-5 years in Collaroy Plateau

Do you have a passion for working with children? Do you want to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives? Then Little Teji Early Learning Centre is the place for you!

We are currently recruiting casual part time Early Childhood Educator who constantly inspire, encourage and nurture young children to learn and understand the world around them!

Skills & Experience
⁃ Either a Diploma in Early Childhood or studying towards. OR Cert III or studying towards.
⁃ An understanding of the National Education and Care Services Regulations 2012, the EYLF and the NQF
⁃ Good communication skills
⁃ Positive attitude
⁃ You are flexible with your working roster
⁃ Ability to build strong reliable relationships
Duties will include:
⁃ Working together as a team to develop a program that meets the needs of individual children and reflects children’s interests, development, culture, and the Centre’s values.
⁃ Liaise, support, and assist parents in a friendly manner.
⁃ Maintaining the required developmental records of children as required by the Regulations, EYLF and the NQF.

We are a new centre located in Collaroy Plateau which will be opening soon, and we cater for ten children 3-5 years old. We are hiring 3 Childcare workers on a permanent full/part time and casual basis.

Skills & Experience
⁃ Either a Diploma in Early Childhood OR studying towards a Diploma
⁃ Or Certificate III in Childcare/ working towards
⁃ An understanding of the National Education and Care Services Regulations 2012, the EYLF and the NQF
⁃ Good communication skills
⁃ Positive attitude
⁃ You are flexible with your working roster
⁃ Ability to build strong reliable relationships

Duties will include:
⁃ Working together as a team to develop a program that meets the needs of individual children and reflects children’s interests, development, culture, and the Centre’s values.
