• Experienced Certificate III or Diploma-qualified educators
• Educators currently working towards an early childhood qualification
• People interested in beginning a Certificate III traineeship and building a career in early childhood education

We are looking for reliable, caring and enthusiastic people who genuinely enjoy working with children and want to become part of a supportive, close-knit team.

Applicants must meet all applicable child-safety screening and employment requirements, including holding or obtaining a Working With Children Check where required.

📚Book Week 2026 at Little Emu Academy📚

What an exciting week of stories, imagination and hands-on learning! Our children, including our school-aged children, have been celebrating Book Week through a wonderful range of creative, sensory and artistic experiences inspired by some much-loved stories.

From creating their very own Gruffalo using natural and recycled materials, Gruffalo-themed sensory play and messy art, to Peter Rabbit gardening experiences, letter recognition activities, painting, music-inspired art and plenty of opportunities to explore, create and experiment — there has been something happening everywhere!

These experiences have encouraged the children to bring stories to life in their own way while developing creativity, fine-motor skills, early literacy, imagination, collaboration and confidence.

We especially loved seeing the children make their own choices, share ideas with their friends and turn familiar books into completely new artistic experiences.

Book Week is always a favourite at Little Emu Academy because a good story doesn’t have to stay on the page — it can become art, sensory play, music, investigation and a whole lot of fun!

🦷 Celebrating Dental Health Week at Little Emu Academy!

Our children have been exploring the importance of healthy teeth through hands-on, play-based learning experiences. From practising brushing techniques and learning about visits to the dentist, to investigating the different tools used to care for our teeth, the children have been building confidence and developing positive oral-health habits.

These engaging experiences encouraged plenty of conversation, imaginative play and curiosity while helping the children understand how brushing, healthy food choices and regular dental check-ups keep our smiles strong and healthy.
