🌟 Thrilled to announce Dr Pat Norman as a keynote speaker for the ACEL National Conference 2026!

Join us as he delivers "The Skills Horizon: What Educational Leaders Need to Know Next?" as Pat maps the shifts redrawing the leadership landscape — from AI reshaping how students learn, to fraying trust in institutions — and what each of these means for those leading schools and systems. The session is interactive and reflective, inviting delegates to locate themselves on the horizon as grounded leaders and leave with a sharper sense of where to focus next.

Pat is the Research and Development Lead for Sydney Executive Plus at the University of Sydney Business School, where he teaches the AI dexterity sprint. He co-authors the world-renowned Skills Horizon report, drawing on conversations with hundreds of executives and leaders — from prime ministers to pilots to CPOs — about our changing world, and his research spans professional identity, AI, the future of work, and leading with judgement in complexity.

🌟 Thrilled to announce Dr Jane Jarvis as a keynote speaker for the 2026 ACEL National Conference!

Join us as she delivers "Leadership for Inclusion: Why is it Harder Than It Looks?" where Jane will unpack the 'non-negotiables' of inclusive practice — and why, despite what the research tells us, putting them into action remains one of the hardest shifts for schools to make. Delegates will be challenged to consider what bold leadership for inclusion really requires, and what their next steps could be.

Jane is acting Head of the Education Research, Policy and Development Division at ACER, and Co-Director of the National Preschool Outcomes Measure project. With a career spanning teaching, school counselling, behaviour support and academic research, she has spent years helping educators build the capability to design inclusive, differentiated learning experiences for all students — work recognised with an ACEL SA Chapter Award and an Australian Award for University Teaching Citation.
