Why Eating Too Low On Calories Can Sabotage Your Fat Loss Results (And How To Fix This)

Many guys believe that they need to eat super low calories to lose weight…

Even some doctors tell their clients to eat 1500 calories or even worse 1200 calories 😦

This is crazy!

⚠️ Starvation Mode as a guy starts at eating less than 1500 calories.

What does this mean???

If you eat less than 1500 calories daily your body enters starvation mode -

where it essentially stops all weight loss to preserve itself.

Your body wants you to stay alive.

That’s it’s primary goal.

So when you’re eating too low on calories:

Your body thinks you’re dying essentially!

So it preserves all energy for vital organ function.

All your weight loss stops.

In fact many people even gain weight during this stage!!

It’s crazy how it works but I see this trend over and over with many of my clients who chronically under eat on their plan.

Which is why it’s super important that you don’t miss any meals or snacks.

❗️❗️❗️ Don’t skip meals or foods ❗️❗️❗️

If the meal plan says you need to eat 1800 calories then you gotta eat 1800 cals.

If your meal plan says you gotta eat 2000 cals then that’s what we gotta eat.

Everything I design for my clients diets is very specifically designed to optimise hormones and produce the best weight loss.

So when you start hitting your daily calories, macros AND quality of foods -

Then your weight loss will blow out of the water and results will keep pouring in 💪

✅ Meal Prepping - The Key To Weight Loss Success ✅

One of the keys to our weight loss success lies in the food choices that we make on a daily basis..

And let’s be honest…

Summer’s coming up, freedom day is around the corner.. we’ll most likely become more social and go out more.

But trouble is, when you’re out and about?

It becomes more tempting to go off your diet.

So to overcome this challenge we need to learn how to meal prep and how to make good choices.

For example:

When I go to the beach I always think:

How can I hit my calories and macros today, while still enjoying myself?

Cool - so I meal prep my lunch in advance.

I then track it all in advance in MyFitnessPal - mentally committing to my plan…

And BOOM! I’m 100% confident I’m on track.

Next day? I lose more weight and feel super happy that I’m on track.

But what if I didn’t bring my lunch with me?

Things get a little tougher as you gotta look for healthy options at the cafes near by.

Potential options could be an Aussie breakfast without the bread or some sort of a Greek salad.

Subway salads with just chilli sauce / touch of mustard sauce is ok.

Not optimal but far better than choosing fast food or eating carbs.

Cause at the end of the day - the choices you make today will define the results you get tomorrow!

Yes meal prepping takes time and hard work.

But at the end of the day when you see the results pouring in - you’ll thank yourself 💪

💪Yes It’s Possible 💪

Many guys don’t believe that getting into a great shape is possible for them.

I’m here to tell you otherwise.

I actually grew up the fat kid at school…

The shy and awkward kid…

Couldn’t talk to girls…

Didn’t like taking my shirt off at the beach…

Hated looking in the mirror and seeing my belly..

And NO:

I don’t have great genetics

I don’t have any special gifts

I don’t have a good metabolism

But I DO have:

The belief that whatever I put my mind to I will achieve it!

The belief that when I have a great physique - new doors open up for me.

The belief that it’s possible to maintain a great physique AND enjoy food and being social.

Why?

Because I’m now living the life I always wanted.

I’m pushing my own physique natural potential.

And I know that it’s 100% possible for you as well.

But only when you pull the trigger and take action!

Take action daily towards your goals and dreams.. and the rest is easy 💪💪🔥🔥

🔥How Your Physique Affects Your Mindset 🔥

If you’re as body conscious as I am… then this may ring true for you.

When you wake up in the morning and go the bathroom mirror… and LIKE what you see…

You start getting happier and more optimistic.

You start vibrating on a different level.

Everything seems to “go your way” that day.

All because of how you felt at that moment.

Which is why I LOVE being in a great shape.

Regardless of how busy I am.

I need to make time for my workouts.

I need to make time for my meal prep.

Because I know how important my physique is..

For my mindset and overall performance.

🥗 Happy Monday! Meal Prep For Success 🥗

We’re about to hit the beach. But how do we maintain our results?

Two words - meal prep.

Made some healthy sandwiches - using super low carb bread at only 2.5G per 2 slices.

Grilled up some chicken breast with tandoori spices.

Laid out some lettuce, cucumber and topped up with some peri peri sauce.

Boom! Delicious 🤤

Bringing a BSC protein bar for dessert.

A bottle of Waterford’s lemon lime bitters to drink.

Wrap it all up and pack in your bag.

And we’re 100% on track!

Getting consistent fat loss comes down to a big deal of meal prepping and planning!

Yes it takes work…

But it will be a game-changer for your results 💪

💥 Boom! Massive Results! 💥

I wanted to give a quick shoutout to my client Hasan on his incredible results over the last 12 weeks of coaching with me.

Hasan reached out to my online coaching when he saw another transformation from a past client… and thought if he can do it I can too.

He’s a 38 years old manager and a busy family man having 2 kids under the age of 3.

So hectic family and work life as you can imagine. Which lead to him gaining a bunch of body fat in the process.

From a health perspective he was diagnosed with high cholesterol levels so that was a big issue he wanted to fix by losing the fat.

He wanted to be a good role model for his kids and wanted to feel good about himself.

His goals were to shred the belly fat and gain lean muscle.

He reached a point where enough was enough and he decided to make a change…

Reached out to my coaching, pulled the trigger fast and that’s when the gains begun:

We dropped Hassan from 68.2kg down to 61kg

And waist from 36 down to 31 inches 💥

All within just 12 weeks of consistency and following the right plan.

Hasan initially wanted to gain weight…

But I explained to him that the first step is shredding the body fat and losing weight.

Which is what we’ve done in the first 12 weeks.

Next step is to start the lean muscle gains process - keeping fat levels down and building a bunch of muscle reversing the weight loss.

Hassan was very vigilant in tracking his foods daily and eating exactly to the plan.

With a big help from his wife who helped with a lot of the meal prep. Props to her!

Always helps to have a supportive partner 😊

Even though Hasan works crazy hours - even finishing super late at night…

He still made the time to do his workouts in the morning and make this transformation happen!

Really goes to show that if you put your mind to something, you can accomplish anything!

You CAN sculpt the body of your dreams!

You just gotta make it a priority and push through every challenge in your way to make it happen 💪
