KKELC celebrated NAIDOC Week by participating in activities centered around this year's theme, "Keep the Fire Burning!"

We were honored to have special guest Adam Goodes join us to read his new storybook, "Walk With Us." The children loved the book!

🌱Exciting Trip to Bunnings Alexandria!

What an amazing day we had with the preschoolers at Bunnings Warehouse Alexandria! A big shoutout to Shahara for her wonderful assistance! 👏

The little ones had a blast sipping on babycinos while exploring the garden section and making a craft! We even got a gift plant for our garden! 🌿🌼

Thank you, Bunnings Alexandria, for making our excursion a memorable one! Stay tuned for more adventures with our curious kiddos.

As NAIDOC 2023 came to an end over the weekend, the NSWICC squeezed in one final event; Naidoc in the City, at Hyde Park North, Sydney. For its 12th year, the event hosted by Gadigal Information Services Aboriginal Corp- Koori Radio / Koori Radio 93.7FM and City of Sydney, was a family fun day full of activities, live music, food and art. Hundreds gathered on Gadigal land to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
The NSWICC was honoured to manage the Elders Tent on the day. It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces and so many Indigenous businesses offering a huge range of art, product and foods. Goanna Hut, Aunty Beryl Vanoploo and Gadigal Information Service created an amazing feed for our elders, and topped it off with a beautiful 'For our elders’ themed cake. We also had a lovely surprise from our Jarjums at Kensington Kids Kingdom Learning Centre, who made some delicious cookies for our elders.
It was truly a special way to finish off such an incredible week, and so fitting to celebrate the 2023 theme, 'For Our Elders'. We pay homage to our Elders who have played, and continue to play, an important role for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families.

🌸 Happy Mother's Day from Kensington Kids Kingdom! 🌸

We had an amazing Mother's Day celebration filled with love and laughter. Our little ones, along with their moms, parents, and grandparents, enjoyed a day of special activities.

From henna painting to personalized sugar scrubs, we celebrated the beautiful bond between mothers and children. We also had a fun beading bracelet session and a playful Play-Doh session, creating unforgettable memories together.

Thank you to all the incredible moms for your love and support. You make our Kensington Kids Kingdom family complete! 💖

Excursion to Coles Supermarket

We had a fantastic time taking our preschoolers to Coles Supermarket in East Village for an exciting excursion!

Our little ones had a great time exploring the store, learning about different fruits and vegetables,🍎🍓🛒 and even getting to see how the checkout process works.

Our adorable babies and toddlers had a blast at Raleigh Park today for an egg-citing Easter egg hunt adventure! 🐰🥚 The little ones giggled and wiggled their way around the park, discovering hidden treasures and making precious memories. 🌳✨ The sunshine, laughter, and Easter cheer filled the air! We can't wait for more seasonal fun with our tiny explorers! 🌸💕

Just had an amazing visit from Dentist Peter Dayman at our Centre! He and Claudia spent time teaching children about dental health and the importance of taking care of our teeth. The kids had a blast learning about proper brushing techniques, remember the number Two, two minutes for brushing, two times a day and two sides! Thank you so much, Dr. Dayman and Nurse Claudia for sharing your knowledge with us. We look forward to having you back soon!"
