Next week, a number of our students will be giving up their warm beds to take part in the MCK Vinnies School Sleepout, standing in solidarity with Australians experiencing homelessness and disadvantage. If you would like to support our students in raising vital funds for Vinnies’ frontline services, please use this link or QR code. Your contribution, big or small, will help provide food, emergency accommodation, and essential support for people doing it tough in our local community.

Year 9 Engineering students, accompanied by Ms Hesson, Mr Combe, and Mr Lauria, enjoyed an unforgettable learning experience during the Sydney Harbour Bridge Insider Climb in Week 3.

Students explored the engineering marvel behind Australia's most iconic bridge, learning about its construction, design, and history. The day also included discussions on the Sirius Building's design and engineering ethics, as well as a historical walk through The Rocks, taking in Cadman's Cottage, Susannah Place, and the Argyle Cut.

A fantastic day of engineering, history, and hands-on learning!

Year 10 Geography students braved the wet weather today to explore Barangaroo and Pyrmont as part of their Changing Places unit.

Students investigated how these areas have been transformed through urbanisation and redevelopment over time, while also considering the sustainability of these developments and their impact on the environment and community.

Despite the rain, it was a fantastic opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom and explore the changing face of our magnificent city of Sydney!

What has been coming into view is now revealed. ✨

As a part of the Sydney Catholic Schools community, we are all united by a shared mission to provide Catholic education deeply anchored in faith, marked by educational excellence and accessible to all who seek it.

Inspired by the beauty and symmetry of the rose window of St Mary’s Cathedral, the new Sydney Catholic Schools logo shifts the focus from Sydney’s iconic landmarks to the spiritual heart of the Archdiocese which connects us.

It lives in our students, our staff and our families across Greater Sydney and is reflected in the way we learn and walk together.

With Christ at the centre of all that we do, this renewed expression reflects who we are as a community of communities, based in our traditions but looking boldly to the future.

Our Intermediate A Football team faced St Mary's Cathedral in a tense, hard-fought Sydney Catholic Schools Grand Final, where scoring opportunities were at a premium. Both teams defended with discipline, but a superb solo effort from Charlie broke the deadlock and proved the difference, securing a 1-0 victory and crowning Kogarah as Sydney Champions!

Remarkably, coach Mr O'Brien and his Intermediate A side have now won this title twice in a row, successfully defending their crown as back-to-back Sydney Champions, a first for the College.

Our Junior A Football team faced Holy Cross Ryde in the Sydney Catholic Schools Football Grand Final last Thursday. In a performance that will be long remembered, the boys found themselves trailing 3-0 with just 12 minutes remaining. Refusing to throw in the towel, the team launched a stunning comeback, scoring four unanswered goals in normal time to secure a thrilling 4-3 victory.

Team captain Theo ignited the comeback with a headed goal, before Sebastian scored an outstanding hat-trick in just eight minutes to seal an incredible championship victory.

A massive congratulations to coach Mr Almeida and the team on winning this title.
