NAP TRANSITIONS

CONSISTENCY

BEDTIME
😴 I get asked a lot what time a child should be going to bed.
😴 Here is a guide of age-appropriate bedtimes.
😴 Bedtime is often nap dependent up until 2-3 years or when your child completely drops a nap.
😴 Once the nap is dropped bedtime may come forward to as early as 6 or 6:30pm until they adjust to a no nap day.
😴 Most kids should be in bed by no later than 8pm to ensure they get a good night sleep.
😴 Comment below the age and bedtime of your child.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS
⏰ Another parenting hurdle 😅.
⏰ Don’t complicate it! Shift bedtime earlier by 15 minutes on Saturday night and stick to your usual routine.
⏰ Enjoy the extra sunshine on Sunday and give your little one a few days to adjust.
⏰ Share this with a parent friend who’ll be cursing the clock change too!

7 MONTH OLD SCHEDULE
😴 Here is a rough guide of what a day with a 7 month old can look like (when they are still having 3 naps in the day).
😴 Wake times can be quite variable from 2-3 hours and generally 0-1 overnight feeds.
😴 7 month olds can often go between 2-3 naps per day while they transition to a consistent 2 nap day.
