30+ years of teaching groups has taught us a lot and we definitely didn’t have all the answers when we started!

Much of what we know now came from years of teaching real students in real group lessons, and refining what worked and what didn’t.

Our experience eventually became Group Piano University. 🎹🎓

We built it so other teachers don’t spend years figuring it all out alone.

It’s the course we wish we’d had decades ago.

💞If group piano has been on your mind and you’re ready to explore what it could look like in your studio, comment GROUP and we’ll send you the application.💞

Applying doesn’t commit you to anything.

We’ll have a chat about your studio, where you’re at and what you’d like to achieve, and see if GPU feels like the right fit. 🙂

Places are intentionally limited for personalised training. ✨

There comes a point when your studio can’t grow by simply adding more one-to-one students.

As Vanessa puts it: 100 private students would mean 50 hours of teaching alone - it’s impossible!

She knew she needed a different skill set.

Through Group Piano University, she learned how to confidently teach groups of up to six students, manage her time, communicate with parents, market her program, and use Whole Body Learning to control the group and create lessons that are productive, engaging and genuinely fun.

And those skills didn’t only change her group classes.

They strengthened the rest of her teaching too. ✨🎹

Her advice to teachers considering GPU?

“Say yes. Jump in. Have a go. You’re going to learn so much.” 🎹

Our next Group Piano University course begins **October 4th**, and we’re speaking with teachers now.

💞Comment **GROUP** or click the link in our bio to apply. 💞

There’s no obligation to proceed and places are limited.

One of the things we hear from teachers all the time is:

“I’d love to teach groups… but my studio just isn’t big enough.”

And I understand. 🙂

When you picture group piano, you might imagine a big room, rows of keyboards and 8–10 students.

But that’s not how you have to start.

Some of the most successful group studios have just 4 or 5 students in a space they’re already teaching from.

The important part isn’t how many pianos you can fit in the room.

It’s knowing how to structure the lesson so those students can learn together, stay engaged and make real progress - without it turning into four private lessons happening at once.

That’s exactly the kind of practical training you’ll get inside Group Piano University. 🎹

We help you look at your studio, your space and your students, and work out a group model that actually makes sense for you.

Our next course starts 4 October, and we’re currently interviewing teachers for this cohort. ✨

If you’re curious about GPU but unsure if you’re ready, the application is simply the first step.

There’s no obligation to join.

💞Comment GROUP and we’ll send you the application to start the conversation and see if it’s right for you! 💞

There’s a point where a full 1:1 teaching diary stops feeling like success.

You’re booked out.
Your students are doing well.
You’ve built a studio you’re proud of.

But your income is capped by how many individual lessons you can fit into your week.

There are only so many afternoons you can give.

This is just one of the reasons we’ve taught groups for over 30 years.

When done well, group piano can give you a very different kind of teaching week - fewer hours at the piano, a more rewarding income, and more time to enjoy life outside of teaching.

And you can do that while still giving your students a brilliant musical education. 🎵

That’s exactly what we teach inside Group Piano University. 🎹

Our next course starts 4 October, and applications are now open.

Perhaps you’ve been thinking about introducing group lessons but aren’t sure where to begin.

Or maybe you’ve tried groups and quickly realised that putting several students in one room doesn’t automatically create a successful group program.

There are moments in a group piano lesson that remind you exactly why you became a teacher. 🎹💛

✨ When students motivate each other.
They encourage, help and cheer each other on — often without you saying a word.

✨ When the shy student performs… and loves it.
You watch their confidence grow right in front of you.

✨ When the whole room makes music together.
Everyone’s playing, listening and completely absorbed in the music.

✨ When a student corrects themselves before you do.
They’re listening more closely, becoming more aware and taking ownership of their learning.

✨ When you finish teaching feeling energised, not drained.
You’ve spent the lesson leading students in making music together — and it feels GOOD.

This is what we love about group piano. And tomorrow, we have one final opportunity to show you what it can look like in your studio.
