🎉 Celebrating 25 Years of Bindook Cottage 🎉

Today marks a very special milestone as Bindook Cottage celebrates 25 years!

For 25 years, Bindook Cottage has been a place where children have learnt, grown, explored and created lasting memories. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of the Bindook journey over the past 25 years and to the families who continue to trust us with their children’s early learning and care.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Bindook story. We are proud of all that has been achieved and look forward to creating many more special memories together.

World Bee Day was a buzzing hit across both the Mulligrub and Bunyip rooms this week! 🐝🍯

The children loved exploring our bee-themed goop sensory play with bees, flowers and honeycomb, using scoops, tweezers and their hands to explore the different textures.

Both rooms also enjoyed making honey toast and honey sandwiches while talking about bees, honey and how bees help our environment 🐝✨

Celebrating all the wonderful mums and mother figures today 🌸

Thank you for the endless cuddles, encouragement, patience and love you give every day. The care and support you show means so much and never goes unnoticed.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea 🌸

Today we celebrated all the wonderful mums and mum figures in our Bindook community with a special Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea!

It was so lovely seeing everyone come together to enjoy yummy treats, connect with one another and spend quality time with their little ones. The afternoon was filled with smiles, conversations and beautiful moments shared together.

Thank you to all the families who joined us and to the amazing mums and mum figures who bring so much love, care and support each and every day. We loved celebrating you all 🌸

We’re so excited to share that Bindook Cottage Early Learning Centre has been named a finalist in the Northern Beaches Business Awards!!
Such a special moment for our little community. We’re so proud of our team, our children and our families who make Bindook what it is every day.

A big congratulations to our sister centres Peacock Street Long Day Care and Peekaboo Cottage who are also finalists!!

WORLD BOOK DAY 2026 📚✨

On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day at Bindook Cottage through a love of stories and imagination.

The children came dressed as their favourite characters, bringing our stories to life! We explored Room on the Broom through role play, created our very own picture books, and went on a We’re Going a Bear Hunt sensory walk, connecting our stories to the world around us.

Such a special day celebrating creativity, storytelling and a love of books ❤️

ANZAC Day 2026 ❤️

Yesterday at Bindook Cottage, we came together to acknowledge ANZAC Day.

The Bunyips painted beautiful poppies, while the Mulligrubs created their own wreaths. Together, we decorated a special wreath using gorgeous flowers from !

We also baked ANZAC cookies, sharing in this tradition as we reflected on remembrance and community.

Earth Day at Bindook 🌏💚

Today we explored how we can care for our Earth in meaningful and hands-on ways. The children sorted recycling, learning what goes where and why it’s important.

The Bunyips created their own Earth artworks, while the Mulligrubs made windsocks using recycled materials, giving new life to items we might usually throw away.

We also had some lovely discussions about simple ways we can look after our planet every day 🌿
