Today we celebrated our second Holy Communion Mass for the 2026 candidates at St Finbar’s. Father Tom offered a truly beautiful liturgy, and our children participated with grace and reverence. We pray abundant blessings for them and their families as they continue their faith journey 🙏

Thank you to the family members who contributed through the offertory and readings. A wonderful celebration of faith and community 🙏

🙏Year 2 led our school community in prayer and song as we gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

✝️With reverence and joy, they helped us reflect on Jesus’ deep and unconditional love, reminding us that His heart is always open to everyone.

♥️Their voices and prayers created a beautiful atmosphere of faith, unity, and gratitude - thank you year 2.

John 15:9 — “As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you.”

🎨 Last night’s “MasterPEACE of the Sisterhood” Paint ’n’ Sip was a radiant celebration of creativity, connection, and community in honour of the jubilee year of St Francis of Assisi.

🎨 Eighty‑five wonderful women from seven St George Sydney Catholic Schools came together to unwind, paint, laugh, and share in the joy of sisterhood. The room buzzed with colour and conversation as bubbles flowed, tacos disappeared quickly, and canvases slowly transformed into personal masterpieces.

🎨 A portion of every ticket supported St Francis Social Services, helping families in our community who are most at risk — a beautiful way to extend the spirit of St Francis beyond the walls of the event.

🎨 Mrs Kasparian was delighted to have an enthusiastic group of mums and staff from St Finbar’s, who added their own spark to the evening, showing what genuine community support looks like.

🎨It was a night filled with heart, creativity, and the unmistakable joy of women lifting one another up. A true masterPEACE in every sense.

A teacher's 47-year legacy and a school's century of memories 10/06/2026

For 47 extraordinary years, St Finbar’s has been blessed to have Mrs Lynne Jackson as a cherished member of our school community.

Her dedication has shaped generations—children, families, and colleagues alike—through her unwavering compassion, wisdom, and joy. She has poured her heart and soul into every lesson, every conversation, and every child who walked through her door.

Our school is better because of her, and countless lives are brighter thanks to her. 🥰

The Student Representative Council (SRC) meet with Mr O’Sullivan periodically to discuss school processes and school expectations. They then take this information and promote it to the rest of the students at St Finbar’s. Today the SRC discussed the importance of using manners with each other and our teachers at school 🌟

Congratulations to our First Holy Communion candidates who received Jesus for the very first time today.

Fr Tom led us in a truly beautiful and reverent Mass, creating a moment these children and their families will carry in their hearts for years to come. May God continue to bless them, guide them, and fill their lives with grace 🙏 ✝️
