National Child Protection Week 2026 💙
This week, from 7 to 11 September, we are recognising National Child Protection Week, a national campaign that reminds us that keeping children safe is everyone’s responsibility.
This year’s theme, “Every Conversation Matters: Shifting Conversation to Action,” reminds us that listening is only the beginning, it is what we do next that creates meaningful change.
At Next Generation Kindergarten , children’s safety, wellbeing, and rights are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where every child feels valued, respected, heard, and included.
Throughout the week, educators will engage children in meaningful and age-appropriate experiences that promote:
✨ Positive relationships
✨ Respect and kindness
✨ Emotional wellbeing
✨ A sense of belonging
✨ Confidence to express their thoughts and feelings
✨ Understanding trusted adults and safe behaviours
The 2026 Child Protection Week focus encourages us all to work together to create communities where children are safe, supported, and empowered to thrive. We know that strong partnerships between families, educators, and the wider community play an important role in helping children grow up feeling secure and confident.
We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by listening to your child, encouraging open communication, and helping them identify trusted adults they can turn to when they need support.
Together, we can build a community where every child feels safe, connected, and able to reach their full potential. 💙
“Every child in every community needs a fair go.”
