You know that Sunday night feeling when you promise yourself you'll start fresh on Monday... but then Wednesday arrives and you're already off track. Sound familiar? đââïž
We are led to believe that if this happens then we're not disciplined enough . Wrong! Turns out, we tend to believe our feelings will carry us to our goals. Plot twist...it never does.
Your goals don't care how you feel. They need you to show up anyway.
I'm sharing the simple difference between motivation (the spark) and discipline (the engine that actually gets you there).
Ready to stop starting over every Monday, overcome what keeps you stuck, and build a structure that actually works for you? đ«

I just experienced another wonderful networking event, however this time with
From the moment I walked in, there was this genuine warmth in the room, professional women coming together with purpose, authenticity and ready to connect.
The conversations flowed so naturally that two hours disappeared in what felt like minutes.
So for those seeking meaningful connections and growth opportunities, I can't recommend enough. They have chapters globally, including online squad groups, masterclasses and personal development webinars.
I'll definitely be joining as a member... and on a side note, how cool is their biz name! đ

The look of frustration when challenged with tech đ
A day in the life of a solopreneur who took a leap of faith three years ago, transitioning from corporate to self-employed.
I'm constantly challenged by all the business platforms and software systems I need to stay current with đ€ŠđŒââ, but honestly... all those frustrations disappear the moment I get to practice my craft, which I absolutely love.
This is a normal day for me đđŒââ when I'm not with a client or attending networking events... activewear, hair up in a bun, working solo (and perhaps an intense face đŹ which is just me in deep concentration, I promise!).
So I'm here trying to figure out how to improve my audio system for recordings. Two hours later and I've made minimal progress đźâđš
Time for a quick dance break in my living room to Mariah Carey's "It's Like That" to clear my head before trying again đ„Ž "Sandra you've got this!" (as an entrepreneur you need to be your own biggest cheerleader to keep moving forward!)

Are you challenged with a change going on in your life right now?

Itâs not just the change itself, itâs what the change challenges inside you.
†Your identity
†Your relationships

These are "shadow barriers", the hidden forces that silently keep us stuck in times of transition.
And they show up for all of us. Yes, even high-achievers, leaders, and deeply self-aware people.
So if youâre feeling stuck in the fog of uncertainty, guilt, or self-doubt, this is your sign.

Okay, so this might not be the most glamorous event photo (I know, I know đ
), but weâre keeping it real! Iâve even signed up for an iPhone photography course⊠which I clearly still need to start.
BUT...thankfully...the event itself was fabulous.
This was my very first business networking event since moving to Dubai nearly eight weeks ago from Sydney. I wasnât quite sure what to expect.
In fact, it all came about after I posted in an expat Dubai Facebook group asking where all the Aussies were hiding⊠because truthfully, Iâd been feeling a little withdrawn and craving connection. That random post? Totally outside my comfort zone, but it led me right here. And Iâm so glad it did.
The Australian Business Council Dubai, GâDay CafĂ© event was such a great gathering. I met a brilliant mix of people, some fresh arrivals like me, others whoâve called Dubai home for years.
So much energy, authenticity, and genuine curiosity in the room. Diverse industries, interesting conversations, and a really welcoming vibe.
Safe to say Iâll be back. Iâve officially become a member and already looking forward to next monthâs event.
A big thank you to Joanne Crowther and Tara O'Reilly for such a warm, well-run experience đđŒ
..and just a second pic on my way there (hello, nerves and excitement!) đŹ

We often think the hardest part is making the change.
But the truth? Itâs who we become after that makes or breaks the transition.
The outer shift is just the start.
The real work happens in the space between what was⊠and whatâs next.
If youâre struggling in the âin-between,â this oneâs for you.
Ensure the change youâre going through is actually taking you somewhere new.

That space where the old no longer fitsâbut the new hasnât fully arrived... ever been there? I have many times and usually more than one at the same time (hello, life transitions!)
And while we all go through it, most of us donât realise it follows a pattern.
When I left my corporate career three years ago, I traded a senior leadership role for my own well-being business. It was both exciting and terrifying. I had studied for many years and I was ready.
However, if I had understood what to expectâthe self-doubt, the loneliness, the internal tug-of-warâI could have given myself more grace. I could have trusted the process, instead of constantly questioning whether I was on the right path and made the right choice.
Hereâs what Iâve learned about the three phases of my transition:
đ Phase One...Letting Go
Every transition begins with an endingânot just of roles, but of identity.
I didnât miss the title, but I did struggle with letting go of the team contribution, seniority and influence Iâd built. And I missed the people. The daily interactions and the energy of being in it together. I hadnât realised how much they filled me up until they were gone. Letting go brought up unexpected sadness and resistance.
đ Phase Two...The Messy Middle
Youâre no longer who you were, but not yet who youâre becoming.
I had to rebuild my confidence in my new career. The assurance that worked before didnât quite fit anymore, and being a somewhat beginner again was deeply humbling. This phase is uncomfortableâbut necessary.
đ Phase Three: The New Beginning
New beginnings can arrive slowly.
As I refined my offerings, experimented, and grew in self-trust, my new identity and role began to formânot through big wins, but small, consistent steps and witnessing client transformations. It was less about perfection (though I am a work in progress!), and more about progress.
One question I had to ask myself was "how do I define success now?"
đ« Transitions arenât clean or linear. But recognising where you are in the journey helps. Confusion and doubt are not signs youâre failing. Theyâre proof that youâre growing.
Got a transition story of your own? Iâd love to hear itâDM me!

Change is part of life...but how we navigate it makes all the difference.
Thereâs a quiet unfolding that often happens beneath the surfaceâinternal shifts we may not fully notice until we feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure.
These transitions can take many forms, often overlapping in ways that leave us feeling stretched.
Theyâre often described as The 6 Pâs of Transition đđŒ
đPersonal â changes in relationships, moving house, parenting shifts, divorce
đPhysical â hormonal changes, health concerns, body image, sensuality
đPsychological â anxiety, low mood, anger, loneliness, inflexibility
đPandemic/Passing â grief, mortality, uncertainty, loss
đProfessional â redundancy, retirement, changed career, leadership shifts
đPurpose â seeking meaning, spiritual growth, a new direction
Sometimes, one transition is enough to feel overwhelming. Other times, itâs the weight of many that leaves us feeling reactive or stuck.
Rarely do these changes happen in isolation. And yet, we often try to carry them alone.
What if, instead of pushing through or numbing out, you could meet these changes with support, and intention?
If youâre moving through a season of transition and donât want to find yourself in the same place a monthâor even a yearâfrom now, I can help. Coaching can make all the difference and support you in breaking through with clarity and intentional action.

Whether life has knocked you sideways with unexpected change or that small constant voice is whispering "it's time for something new" â you're standing at the threshold of transformation.
Welcome to transition territory!
But as we navigate each chapter of adulthood, transitions take on a completely different rhythm. The stakes feel higher. Each choice carries more weight. We're juggling careers, relationships, and responsibilities while trying to figure out who we're becoming next (sigh...!)
Some changes arrive without warning (hello, unexpected job loss or divorce), while others have been quietly developing beneath the surface for years (that growing feeling you're meant for something more).
These transitions can feel worrying and isolating, or they might bring an exhilarating sense of freedom and possibility.
Here's the game-changer...change is situational, but transitions are psychological, meaning change happens AROUND you, but transitions happen WITHIN you.
For example...
đWhen you step into that senior leadership role, that's a change. How you navigate impostor syndrome while establishing your executive presence becomes your transition.
đWhen you finally launch that business after years of planning, that's a change. How you redefine success on your own terms becomes your transition journey.
đWhen a relationship ends, that's a change. How you reconnect with your authentic self and create a new path for your future becomes your transition.
đWhen you step away from your job to become a parent, that's a change. How you integrate your professional self with your new role as a parent becomes your transition journey.
đWhen you receive a health diagnosis requiring lifestyle shifts, that's a change. How you rebuild your relationship with your body and embrace new wellness priorities becomes your transition.
đWhen you make that career pivot you've been dreaming about, that's a change. How you build confidence in your new path becomes your transition.
đWhen you move to a new city, that's a change. How you create meaning and belonging in your new environment becomes your transition journey.
There's a difference.
With support,
S x

Life transitions...are you experiencing one or more at the moment?
If so, I'm right there with you. Recently trading Sydney's coastline for Dubai's cityscapes while simultaneously watching my sons venture into their own chapters. Yes, I've become an empty nester which is tugging at my heart big time!
Iâll be honest - I'm in the messy middle of these changes, navigating the complexity of letting go while embracing what's next, approaching each day with curiosity rather than certainty.
My own transitions have become my greatest teachers, showing me that change isn't linear, growth happens in uncomfortable spaces, and finding alignment often means first feeling misaligned.
In a world that glorifies the grind and hustle (mostly on our own), I've embraced a powerful truth: When we hustle, we commit to society's standards. When we align, we commit to our own standards.
What I've noticed is that many of us feel alone, even with busy schedules and full calendars. That paradoxical loneliness that comes from having connections but missing true community, from being productive but lacking purpose.
Are you navigating a career pivot, relationship shift, health change or simply feeling caught between what was and what could be? These transitions aren't just challengesâthey're invitations to recalibrate your mental landscape and rediscover what truly matters to YOU.
My focus is supporting ambitious individuals like you (in a safe space) to successfully navigate transitions, cultivate healthy and sustainable habits, and reach meaningful goalsâwhile enjoying the journey.
It isn't about adding more to your already-full plate, but rather simplifying, unlearning and relearning what works for you...right now, where you are at in life.
It's about creating space for clarity, intention, and sustainable growth. It's about honouring your own rhythms through building capacity instead of living up to external expectations.
Remember, you're the most important project you will ever work on! Curious about coaching? Link in my bio for a complimentary call (no pressure, it's not my style!)...just a chat to see if this is for you.
