The work is learning how to regulate within it.

To come back to yourself.
To honour your body.
To trust your intuition.
To remember who you’re becoming.

Because one day you’ll look back and realise you became the woman you once needed.

Grounded.
Powerful.
Connected.
Certain.

The queen was never outside of you.

She was waiting for you to trust yourself enough to become her.

Your brain might still want to spiral.

That doesn’t mean you have to go with it.

One of the biggest shifts I’ve experienced isn’t that fearful thoughts disappeared. It’s that my body no longer believes every story my mind tells me.

I can notice comparison.
I can notice fear.
I can notice the old patterns.

And instead of disappearing down the rabbit hole, I can come back to what is actually true.

I trust myself.

I trust my ability to figure things out.

I trust that what’s meant for me isn’t passing me by.

That’s what nervous system regulation gives you.

Not a perfect life.

A safer place to stand within yourself.

Stop carrying things that were never yours to carry.

Other people’s emotions.
Other people’s problems.
Other people’s expectations.
Other people’s responsibilities.

Somewhere along the way, many high-performing women learnt that being helpful meant carrying everyone else’s baggage.

But here’s the truth:

Every time you carry what’s not yours, you drain the energy you need for your own life.

Your goals.
Your health.
Your relationships.
Your peace.

Support people? Absolutely.

Carry them? No.

Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is hand the bag back and trust that another grown adult can carry their own stuff.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt is that not every task requires the same amount of energy.

Some days I can coach, create content, train and build.

Other days?

My body is asking for rest.

And instead of forcing myself through it, I’ve learnt to listen.

Because high-performing women are often taught to push through exhaustion.

But what if your body is actually giving you valuable information?

What if rest isn’t the problem?

What if ignoring yourself is?

Your body knows when it’s time to move.
Your body knows when it’s time to pause.

The skill is learning to trust it.

and still feel like you’re drowning internally.

High-performing women are masters at overriding themselves.

We keep going.

we don’t realise how disconnected we’ve become until our body forces us to look.

Planning my day was never something I thought about. I have never been a planner and did not realise how much structure helps with my day even if it’s planning the small things.

It has helped me start this year following my purpose of who I want to be. What I want to give my attention to. The simple things like the gym and taking my puppy out for a walk.
