A big thank you to Kate Dickson and Justin Rowley from NEP Australia for sharing their time and wisdom with our Broadcasting students last week as we toured the state of the art Andrews Hub facility in South Eveleigh.

NEP is one of the world’s largest production companies, producing broadcasts for NRL, AFL, A-League as well as ‘shiny room shows’ like The Voice and Dancing with the Stars to name just a few.

Our students were both very grateful and very excited about their potential future in broadcast TV!

Great presentation and talk by DOP Stephen Windon ACS ASC. Stephen was a student at St Leonards TAFE in 1977 in the Film techniques certificate. He was employed by the ABC straight after and went on to become one of Australia's leading cinematographers. We were incredibly fortunate that he came to share his experiences and chat with new students. His generosity is inspiring.

Collaboration with diploma students from Wollongong and St. Leonards Screen & Media, on a commercial, filming of a scene at the beach, when they're really not at the beach.

While on term break, the painters have been working hard on a makeover at STL studios.

Students returning this term will get a pleasant surprise! The studio corridor floors have now been refreshed and look amazingly bright and clean, with safety guide marks around.
