R U OK? Day – Little Hearts, Big Conversations-
Today, we joyfully celebrated R U OK? Day with our children dressed in bright yellow!
Through fun and meaningful experiences, the children explored feelings, kindness, friendship, and caring for others. They created emotion faces decorated with flowers and leaves, explored yellow construction resources, and made happy emoji-inspired handprints.
During group time, we talked about different emotions and the importance of speaking to someone we trust when we feel sad, worried, or have big feelings. The children confidently shared the special people they can talk to, such as Mum, Dad, siblings, and teachers.
Our day continued outdoors with musical chairs and energetic play, supporting turn-taking, listening, cooperation, social interaction, and emotional expression
A simple Are you OK? can make a big difference. We hope today’s experiences remind our children and families that every feeling matters and that it is always okay to reach out, talk, listen, and care for one another.
