Parents: If you child is bullied at school. The difference between your effort counting and being dismissed comes down to one thing.

Sammy Teusch was a ten year old boy who took his own life after being relentlessly bullied about his appearance. His parents contacted the school thirty times.

Thirty calls, thirty conversations, thirty moments of a mother and father begging someone to protect their son.

Not one of them was recorded as a formal report.

That one gap, a phone call versus a written record, is the difference between a school being held accountable and a school claiming they never knew.

Write it down and send it to the school every time. It is the simplest thing you can do and it changes everything.

Teens really need to be shown and taught in a way that engages them. Sounding clever doesn’t work. We have been working with teens for years and have helped a lot of young men deal with anger.

No matter what cards you have been dealt, you are still worth the effort. Do not give in.

Young people are statistically taking their own life which is the leading cause of death in that age bracket.

We aim to bully proof and encourage 1 million students in Australia with our frameworks and message.

Australian teenagers were asked who actually helps when life gets hard. The leaderboard:

Friends - 77%
Parents - 76%
Pets — 56%
The internet — 54%
School counsellor / teacher / coach — 50% (and half of kids don't even bother using one)
Spiritual or religious mentor — 20%|

Parents come in second. Second.

Out of every adult, every professional, every institution, every app and algorithm a teenager could turn to, you are beaten only by their best mate.

You outrank the dog. You outrank Google. You outrank the school counsellor by 26 points. You outrank the priest by nearly four times.

If you've ever thought "my kid never tells me anything" the data says you're wrong. Three out of four young Australians rate their parents as helpful. You're already in the inner circle. The job isn't to break in. It's to not get kicked out.

Meanwhile, a Labrador outranked your trained, qualified, university-educated school counsellor. A goldfish that has eaten its own reflection three times this week is more emotionally available than a priest.

If you're a teacher reading this, I'm sorry.

ATTENTION: Private Schools in Newcastle, Central Coast & Sydney.

We're running our 3rd round of research with the University of Sydney into bullying, resilience, and adolescent mental health. And we're not looking for every school.

We're looking for private schools willing to admit something most won't:That bullying is actually happening on their campus.

Not the polished version. Not the "we have a wellbeing program" version.

The real one.If your school has Year 8–10 students dealing with verbal abuse, social exclusion, cyberbullying, or worse — and your leadership is ready to do something about it, not hide from it — we want to hear from you. What we need:

✔️ Private school in NSW (Newcastle, Central Coast, or Sydney)

✔️ Cohort of 40–50 students minimum in Years 8–10

✔️ Active bullying being addressed by staff

✔️ Willingness to follow the full research process (parent comms, consent forms, 3 surveys, 4 weeks of program delivery)

In return, your school gets a fully funded, evidence-based program delivered by Social Kung Fu, plus a research report from the University of Sydney on your cohort's outcomes.

Spots are limited. Applications take 5 minutes.

Apply here.

You cannot just rely on the school bullying gets out of control. The system is often too slow and before you know it the damage is done. Take control.

Challenge: what benefit do you get from posting kids on a public profile? Is it safe? Why not to just your closed group of friends?
