Today during Literacy class, Stage 2 students got to play the Devices Sorting game as part of their learning about persuasive devices for persuasive writing.
Five different persuasive device posters were displayed, including: 👏personal pronouns,
🤝emotive words,
👌exaggeration,
👉facts and rhetorical questions.

Students applied their knowledge and worked together to match each sentence to the correct persuasive device. A student then picked one sentence as a beginning sentence, while the other student had to pick another sentence that follows the sentence before it. Students kept taking turns to pick sentences to create a persuasive text until all sentences were used. What a great experience to enhance students’ learning about persuasive devices while getting them to move around and have fun collaborating with each other!

🌭🧋Bữa đó sẽ có bánh mì sandwich kẹp xúc xích và nước uống miễn phí cho 200 người đến đầu tiên.

- Khung hình cá to dài 25 mét

We’re excited to be opening the new Big Bass play space at Carramar for families of all ages to use to get out and healthy together thanks to a $2 million investment from the NSW Government.

Join us at the opening on 18 May at 3pm to use the brand new play space and enjoy FREE entertainment. There’s also a free sausage sandwich and drink for the first 200 people.

The park has something for everyone including:
• 25-metre ‘Big Bass’
• climbing nets
• nature and water play areas
• a sandpit
• balance beams
• picnic and barbeque area.

When: Thursday, 18 May from 3pm
