If you’re looking for good Indian food, my friend started up her own business and they deliver to you. She is still working on covering all areas. If not, you can pick up from chatswood.
We just tried the family pack and we were not disappointed.

Easy ways to teach kids about emotions in daily life 17/05/2021

I have been working on the children’s emotional intelligence recently. This article explains perfectly the importance of understanding our own and other’s emotions.

Easy ways to teach kids about emotions in daily life There's an apocryphal story that the Inuit languages of the Artic have at least 50 word combinations for different varieties of snow. Apparently young Inuit children learn those words and attach them accurately to the many varieties of snow simply by hearing them used in context.

A beautiful message from the kindergarten team at Cammeray.
Now I’m reminded of how all my new families have felt on their first day. I can’t wait to see her and hear all about her day.

🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ What is Family Day Care? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
Family day care is an approved child care service run from an individuals home that has been fully approved and is regularly accessed under the child care regulations. Run by a qualified professional educator whom has chosen Family Day Care as their career choice.

Providing education and care to children that truly focuses on each individual child’s development, while supporting and creating meaningful relationships with the children and families in care. Often these relationships continue long into the adult years sharing many milestones along the way, often described as an extended family. ♥️

In small groups, children will enjoy a natural approach to play and discovery and form genuine lasting bonds, while families enjoy peace of mind knowing their child is happy and safe in a nurturing, natural and flexible home learning environment.

That's what makes Family Day Care what it is. A unique service that provides care for children 7 days a week, overnights and public holidays, we provide a flexible and affordable child care choice for families.

My dear friend Helen wrote a children’s book and I couldn’t be more proud. Helen used to be an educator at north Sydney FDC and Asiyeh used to be our educational leader. They have paired up their talents and come up with something so beautiful that I will treasure forever. The story is based on a true life event that happened to Lizzie, Helen’s daughter. A lovely story with a beautiful message and teaching them about nature, science, respect and compassion. Feel free to show your support and come to the the book launch. You can also buy a copy through the website. I will be featuring this book in the next coming next coming weeks and I’m so excited to share it with the children in care and see their reactions.🥰

Why Kids Should Work on a Vertical Surface 30/06/2020

Upon reflection about my service, I’ve been thinking about my business name. I thought that I wanted to change it and make more relating to child development and more professional sounding. So Why did I chose Dixieland?
I always knew I was going to work with children and hoped to run my own daycare one day. I joked around with friends in high school and said that I would name my service “Laurieland”. I know right. So me. 😂
Fast-forward to 2010 and I had realised my dream and started my family daycare. As I was filling out the form for a business name, I had 2 names on the list. I thought Laurieland was probably not the best now that I was wiser but I still had it down as my second choice. (Not that much wiser). So my first choice was Dixieland. I had a cat called Dixie and I knew that term Dixieland Related to music and that it had French influence as it was from New Orleans so I thought it would fit because music and French was me in a nutshell.
Well today a friend sent me this and I think the timing couldn’t be more perfect. I never knew it actually had a French word in there and the fact that it’s the word ‘10’is even more fitting right now.
