Science Week was a hit!
Our little scientists had so much fun exploring, experimenting and discovering through a variety of exciting experiments. 🧪🌈
From curious questions to amazing reactions, it was a week full of hands-on learning, laughter and discovery! 💡💛

Because who doesn’t love painting with their feet? 🎨🧑‍🎨🖌️

🌿🎨 A special nature discovery today! The children found a rock in the garden and discovered it contained natural earth pigment. They used it to draw on the ground, and some even made marks on their arms, sharing that it reminded them of how Aboriginal people use ochre for painting.

This sparked a respectful conversation about how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have used natural ochres for thousands of years in art, storytelling and ceremony. A beautiful moment of curiosity, creativity and learning through nature. 🤎

🖤💛❤️ NAIDOC Week ❤️💛🖤

This week, the children have been engaging in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that celebrate and deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and traditions.

Through art, storytelling, music, movement and shared conversations, the children have had opportunities to explore, ask questions, listen and learn. These experiences support children to build respect, connection and appreciation while recognising the rich and continuing cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We acknowledge that learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives is not just for NAIDOC Week, but an important and ongoing part of our everyday curriculum. 🖤💛❤️
