The children have been helping care for our veggie garden. We’re excited to see beautiful eggplants, basil, mint, coriander, and capsicums starting to grow!
Through gardening, the children are exploring nature, plant growth, and healthy eating while developing responsibility and fine motor skills as they water, observe, and tend the plants.

As part of National Sea Week, the children participated in a range of ocean-themed activities. 🌊🐠
They explored an Ocean Rescue sensory activity using tongs to collect “rubbish” from the water and sort it into bins, supporting fine motor development and coordination. The children also made ocean “water” with cloud dough, created bubble art, built a small aquarium, and crafted jellyfish from beads.
These experiences helped children learn about sea life, caring for our oceans, and the importance of keeping marine environments clean while developing creativity and sensory exploration.

The children had fun with our grocery store dramatic play set!
They pretended to shop for groceries and then took their food to the play kitchen to cook up something yummy. 🍳

Children practiced counting and learned Mandarin numbers through hands-on activities, including a colourful counting tray. They explored number recognition, matched quantities, and said the numbers in Mandarin, building early maths skills and language awareness.

Children had fun making dumplings while we talked about how dumplings are a traditional food for Lunar New Year, symbolising good luck and prosperity. They explored different fillings, practiced rolling and shaping, and enjoyed a hands-on sensory experience that also built fine motor skills.

Children explored the festive spirit of Lunar New Year by creating and decorating lanterns. They practiced fine motor skills while filling lanterns with rice and adding colourful designs, celebrating creativity and cultural traditions.
